Question:
Pain where I used to have a belly button

Hi everyone! I am 3 3/4 years post surgery and had a tummy tuck over 2 years ago. Before I had my tummy tuck I had a rather large apron and would often experience deep belly button pain. I no longer have that belly button but the past couple of days I am experiencing that familiar pain in the same area. The pain seems to travel down the right side of my bladder. Anyway, has anyone else ever experienced this and what do you think it is? I welcome any comments on my situation. Thank you!    — rinnchris (posted on December 21, 2003)

Your belly button is still there! I take it they didn't cut a hole for it when they did the TT? My doc took pictures during surgery, and the BB remains in the same place, it's just the skin that is moved! Some docs don't cut a hole in the skin they pull down, luckily, mine did, I think that would be just too weird! Don't know what would cause the pain, but it would explain why you still have it!
