Question:
Iron and skin removal. Is excess skin removable without looking awful?

Hi folks. I actually have a few questions for this group of wonderful knowledgable people. First of all, I want to say, that I get more info from here than at my doctor's office. thanks. Okay, first of all, has anyone been low on iron and gotten some type of injections or transfusions. I am not talking about B12 but iron itself. My iron is "dangerously" low and the doc says that there is no injection for this. Please help as I have had to postpone hernia surgery because the docs were afraid to do the surgery on me for fear of stroke. Next, has anyone had just the excess skin removed from the belly? I don't want nor really need a tummy tuck. I just need the excess skin removed (the apron). Again, my doc says it's just not enough to worry about really and that by removing it, it may give me "folds" in my belly. I guess he means places where my belly goes in and others where it doesn't. Maybe I should see a plastic surgeon for this but...do they do hernia repair along with this removal or do you have to see a general surgeon for this? thanks for all your help guys and I wish each and every one of you so much luck and happiness.    — Barbara H.
