Question:
This is my second posting of this question.

Is there anyone who has won a appeal with walmart. I can't believe there is no one who was willing to take them to the limit. I just received my first denial. I'm not gonna stop.    — [Anonymous] (posted on May 14, 2001)

I do not have insurance through WalMart but I did want to tell you that my insurance coverage had a clause in it also. I appealed to my employer and was approved! You must first get your surgeon to write your letter stating that this is a matter of life or death, supply some ADA statistics, as well as some costs associated with your health care should you remain obese. Good luck!

I do not know anyone who has gotten through walmarts exclusion. It is iron-clad. People have switched jobs, gone self-pay or purchased extra policies to get this surgery. I really hope you can find a method that will work for you. This may sound terrible, but medicaid has covered the surgery so if you end up unemployed, you would have better health coverage. What a twisted system, huh?
