Question:
Is WLS possible after an Colostomy?

One year ago I had to have a Colostomy due to colon cancer. By Gods Grace I'm now cancer free. I didn't even have to have chemo. But now I'm considering having WLS and in researching it I havn't been able to find much information on whether you can still have WLS after a Colostomy. Bill, I can feel for you. I had a colostomy almost 4 years ago. Yes I was able to have it reversed. Has your been reversed yet? I too am hoping for the surgery. I can't see any problem , I would think it would depend on how much bowel was destroyed from cancer and how much they need for surgery. As you said you are cancer free now.
