Question:
Exclusion to Regence BCBS of OR. Has anyone had any luck with this company getting

I don't have your insurance I have BCBS of GA PPO. But I'm writing to tell you that I had a very specific exclusion no weight loss surgery,treatment or anything. I was approved in 10 days still waiting on surgery date though. But I was told that even with the exclusion if I could prove medically necessary they would have to pay for it. Good luck . My BC/BS of WI Standard Plan II indicates in the exclusions section that treatment is available for morbid obesity and disease etiology. Bottom line is medical necessity must be proven. But never take no for an answer, at least the first time. JMO Chris D.
