Question:
HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO BE APPROVED BY HEALTH NET???

My PCP has recommended that I have Gastric Bypass Surgery, I have a surgeon and have had all my prestesting work done, I am just so worried that my insurance company will not cover me I have been told by doctor's I am a prime canidate will all my ailments and a BMI of 54 but I am still nervous. I had HealthNet Insurance when I was approved for a DS in NYC in Oct. 2001. My BMI was 52. I had no problems with approval.

Hi, I had surrgery last August, HealthNet approved me in 2 days, 100% in Network. My dtr is Dr Leitman (partners with Kurian & Roslin)...All 3 are in NYC and take HealthNet! Good Luck. EMail me if you have any specific questions. Heather (Open RNY 8/15 305/218/150)

I have Health Net and I was approved for my upcoming surgery on 2/10/03 in 24 hours. My bmi is 44. Good Luck! From what I hear they are really good about the surgery.

I have HealthNet Advantage Platinum, and they approved my wls, and my TT!! Just waiting to hear about the boob hoisting now...so far, they have been GREAT!!! Good Luck and Have a Sparkling Day!! ~CAE~

I have Health Net. I had a BMI of exactly 40 and it went through instantly.
