Question:
IS IS NORMAL AT THIS STAGE TO HAVE PAIN IN STOMACH?

I AM 3 MOTHS POST-OP AND BEEN HAVING PAIN IN MY STOMACH EVERY TIME I GO TO EAT SOMETHING, A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO MY DOCTOR DID AN UPPER GI AND ENDOSCOPE AND EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL, JUST SOME ACID BULD UP. I WAS WONDERING IF THIS WAS NORMAL TO HAVE WHEN I EAT OR WHAT COULD IT BE. THANKS FOR ADVICE!    — Melodee S. (posted on May 8, 2003)

Hi! I started with trouble like that at about 1 month out. I kept calling the doctors office and getting blown off by the receptionist. Finally at 2.5 months out the pain was so bad I called the doctor after hours and he had me go in the very next morning for an egd and found a marginal ulcer. I had the same pain as you but couldn't keep much down either. I still had trouble all the way until May and then I ended up in the hospital for 5 days and 4 blood transfusions because one marginal ulcer turned into multiple small and large bleeding ulcers. See your doctor and do your research..ask evry question about every possibility!
