Question:
Was wondering if anyone else has this type of pain?
I have been having severe pain right underneath my lest breast bone and on the side of my rib cage area. i am now 4 mths. post-op and sometimes the pain is so unbearable that I can't even catch my breath at times beacause it hurts soooo bad!!!. I thought it could be just some inflammation of the rib cartlige, but now I am not for sure, Do any of you have been having the same kind of pain and know what it might be? I am only 5 weeks today, but I have that pain too and when I called the
nurse 3 days ago she said its from where the muscles are healing. It
doens't make sense to me, but she said to call back if it gets worse. I
hope you feel better soon!

I had this pain too when I was about 1mos - 3mos out. I was told by my
surgeon that it was the muscles healing. Remember it was not just skin
they cut into to get to your stomach. The good news is that it does go
away, but for a while I kept thinking I had developed a hernia or
something.
I am 8 mos out now (-124 #s) and I haven't had it at all recently. Good

Had the same thing...it will end soon. You are healing. But tell your
doctor to be safe.

I am 1 month out and started having the same pain as you are describing.
So now I will add another question to this--For those of you who did
consult your doctor, did they tell you to take Tylenol or anything for the
pain. (I would call my doctor but they are closed today.) Thanks

I'm with Lisa on this, is sounds like gallbladder. If yours was taken out,
it could also be pluersy. Check with your doctor.
