now what?

I just got a denial letter. What a blow !I waited 3months for this letter.I have been crying all day! this is something I wanted so bad ! Both my doctors said i was a good canidate.I think this is a very trying period for anyone who is trying to get approved,Right now I feel like my hopes and dreams were thrown out the window just like every other time you hope this may be the diet that will help I was so pepared for a approvel. I know just how you feel Lisa. It seems that everyone (but us) has gotten approval! Well don't give up. You don't say why you were denied - exclusion/not medically necessary. Do you have a secondary insurance? Please don't give up - turn your disappointment into action & fight back. I was a self payer because my insurance turned it down you can get the op. done in Mexico for around 5,000.00 there are a whole lot of americans who have it done in Mexico check out this site go to www.onelist.com and then type in bandsters they have mostly self paid. Is this your first denial? You can usually expect that--standard procedure for some of the insuance companies! Don't give up--if you really want the surgery--FIGHT!!! You may still have other appeals left, or if you have to, go to www.obesitylaw.com--Walter Lindstrom fights legally for you to have this surgery--reasonable cost too, I hear. Are you working with a surgeon that is experienced and KNOWS how to fight for you? YOU also have to do some of your own work, call the insurance company, get your FACTS so you can WIN!!!
