Question:
Has anyone experienced pain in the upper right abdomen 2 weeks post op?

My doctor first said it was constipation but after it didn't go away he said that it was from a very large stitch he took. He said it will go away as fast as it came. Right now I'm on pain meds. I'm taking laxatives which makes the pain go away for a while but then it returns in full force. Any ideas?    — [Anonymous] (posted on November 21, 2001)

I experianced pain in the same area you discribed post-op and I was told it was adhesions, it did stop!! Just as suddenly as it came on..

I too have had this type of pain but, much later on. About 3 months post. Mine was almost an itch and a pain, but internally. It has stopped now and it was never so bad that I went to my Dr. about it.
