I don't have cigna but i understand the craziness. The waiting stinks for sure!!! Good luck and I am sure all will go your way., Did you check out the part of the site called "insurers"? You can see what kinds of insurance in your state have given approval for WLS. Once I read about my insurance I was much more at ease. Also you can call cigna for an update.

I have cigna ppo and live in illinois. I gave them 4 weeks for an answer and when I did not get one I called them and found out my papers had been sent to the wrong address so had my surgeon refax and had a positive answer in 24 hrs. Hang in there. It took me 6 months to get approval for wls and I thought I was gonna go nuts also...... The 6 month wait was not Cigna though it was another ins. company and then my husband's ins. changed right in the middle of it all and so I had to change surgeons and everything talk about nuts I was there.
