Question:
I want to know if anyone in IL had their surgery done by the following doctors?
I have Aetna HMO insurance, and Aetna gave me names of Bariatric surgeons in my area, here they go. P.Guske, J.Kane Jr. , J. Kane Sr. , P. Rantis Jr. , S.Versman, J. Wallace , M.Kadowcki , D.Hoeltgen , K.Printen , A.Robin. If anyone have any comments about this doctors please let me know. Thank you — JuliaV (posted on February 20, 2004)

There is a wonderful database of surgeons on this site. At the top of any
page, click on "find a doc", next click on your state. I did and
I skimmed the list and found several of these surgeons on there. If you
click on their names, you will get to their info page on this site.
Included is insurers info and comments from members that have used them. If
you click on the members names you will be linked to their profiles and can
e-mail them your specific questions. This page for me when I was

Dr Printen did my surgery. I can't say enough good things about him, he is
an excellent surgeon and i have no regrets about choosing him. If you have

Dr. Rantis did my surgery. I thought he was wonderful. I have been very
happy with the "Kane" Suburban Surgical team. Best wishes.

You are not too far away from the hospital that Guske, Kane Jr & Sr,
Rantis, Versman and Wallace are at in Elk Grove Village. Rantis did my
husband's RNY this last Sept. I would highly recommend this group of
doctors. These doctors are with the Weight For Life program. You can go to
their web site at www.weightforlife.com and read more about them. I have
had prior surgeries with the Kane boys and they are great surgeons. Email
me and I can go into more details. I went thru another group, The Wish
Center in Downers Grove. If your ins. covers them I would highly recommend
