Question:
Has anyone had surgery with Dr. Olchowski

Yep, it's me again...still trying to decide which surgeon to go to. Has anyone had the Lap Band surgery done by Dr. Olchowski? I know he is doing them now and because of the fact that he is only 30 minutes away, I'm considering him as well. I've heard such great things about Dr. Mitchell (Pinehurst, NC) and would love to go to him if he weren't 7 hours away...Plus, I was reading his website tonight and before you can make the first appointment, he requires that you attend a class of his...which wouldn't be bad if his office weren't so far away. A friend of mine had Dr. Olchowski do her Open RNY and even though she is happy that she had the surgery done, she wasn't impressed with the Dr. So, I thought I would ask you guys???? No personal exerience here, but I wanted to direct you to his page on this website. It is full of insurance information for companies that have paid for surgery by him. Also included are members' comments with links to their profiles and e-mail addresses. Maybe you could e-mail his patients directly. Hope this helps. His page is on the "find a doc" page.
