Happy three year anniversary Diane! Wow! Three years. I can bet your life is sure different now. I hope things are going great for you, and that perhaps you will come back and give us all an update. That's how us pre-ops and others learn, from reading others stories. I hope your life is wonderful!

Dear Diane: Greetings! I know just what you're talking about when it comes to changing eating habits, and what the emotional response to our over=eating has caused. I'm 2 1/2 months post-op, and though its gotten easier, I'm still struggling with food and the issues that go with it. It seems that when I'm working and staying busy, I don't even think about it (food) anymore; But today, I went grocery shopping after work, I bought all kinds of foods, that prior to surgery would have been gobbled up within a week-------the food I bought today will take me a good month to consume!!! Then when I ate my supper tonight, I failed to eat slow and chew carefully---thus the dreaded 'stuck stoma syndrome.' Oh, talk about painful, until you throw up. Anyway, just wanted you to know you're definitely not alone-----I understand. Sincerely, Lori Ann

Hey, Diane. Great going with the weight loss. I didn't know there were so many others in our town going thru WLS. Do you make it to the support group meetings? You really should. There is a lot of information to be found there in person. Email me anytime. I am pre-op but if you need a friend, I'm here. My advice, crank up the water and protein and get exercising. Everyone's bodies are different so what is normal for someone else at this point may not be appropriate for you. Hang in there. Many prayers and hugzzzz!!
