Dr. Naaman was awesome. I can not say enough about Dr. Naaman. I searched for the best surgeon to do my bypass reversal and I found that in Dr. Naaman and his team. He did my reversal surgery and truly saved my life. His staff is also wonderful. I went to Houston from Vancouver desperate, dehydrated, and malnourished, and scared. He put me at ease with his calm demeanor and assuring warmth. He is to the point, and does not beat around the bush. I owe my life and health to this man. rnrnJulius, a member of his team, is wonderful as well - always there to answer my questions via email - these guys are highly recommended.

DR. Naaman is Wonderful... I can't ever say that enough. He is totally committed to you. He was completely honest. Took the time to answer any question, no matter how dumb. Before surgery he came to talk to me twice to make sure I was ok. After surgery he talked to my family and let them know I was doing fine. His staff are just as wonderful. Julius is hilarious and makes going there so pleasant. Bernie is a doll... and Amanda - she is GREAT!!!rnrnNo Surgeon could be better or have better staff!!!

I loved my surgeon! Dr. Naaman is methodical ... exactly what you want in a surgeon! He's strict, prompt and professional and I felt confident in his ability to pull my surgery off without a hitch and that's exactly what I got! Pretty much a problem-free surgical event and I am so thankful! If there's anyone out there who's looking for a surgeon and supporting staff to embark on the biggest journey of your life, don't hesitate to give Dr. Naaman's office a call. Thank you, Doc ... and thanks to your super staff, too!

First impression was excellent. He was very thorough in the WLS Seminar I attended and gave excellent answers to lots of questions. He didn't rush through anyone, and I felt that was very important. His staff is very friendly and helpful as well.rn

I like Dr. Naaman, he is happy to answer any questions you may have and will go into as much detail as you want him to. He did an excellent job with my surgery. The office staff is nice and caring. The nurse, Pam, is really great and Bernie, the office manager, is one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. Also, I have never had to wait for very long in the waiting room, they have always gotten me back very quickly. I had a question once on the weekend and Julius called me back within 10 minutes. Another time I just called with a minor problem and they asked me if I could come in and got me back and taken care of right away.

The first time I met Dr. Naaman was in the conference that they first have us go to, where he gives you his personal history, then goes on to speak about the different surgeries that he does. I thought he was very helpful at explaining everything, and his staff was wonderful. I scheduled my first meeting the following day, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out he wasn't one of those \"constantly busy, don't have time for you\" doctors. When we met he gave me great information about the procedure, though I did not have many questions because I have seen other doctors before. Let me underline that his staff was exceedingly helpful and gracious, and if it weren't for them I would probably not be post-op now. He is a very \"up front\" doctor, and will not kid around with you, and answers your questions directly, though with no smiles (which made me frown because I'm a huge kidder lol). I would definitely encourage anybody with Tricare to see Dr. Naaman, he and his staff know everything that needs to be sent out for approval, and I was approved within days! rnI noticed that aftercare is extremely important to Dr. Naaman, and he dutifuly stresses walking right after the surgery, and getting in your liquids. He lets you know all of the risks of the surgery very straight up, and always gives you an abundance of information. rnFrom what I could tell, Dr. Naaman is extremely competent in everything that he does, though not with a great sense of humor. I think that's good because I would rather have a great surgery than be laughing my way to post-op complications.

I went in feeling very comfortable with my surgeon. He and his office staff were incredible. They were very knowledgeable and knew exactly what the insurance companies would want. They helped me each step of the way and I am sure that if I did not have this support, I probably would have given up. I would recommend this team to anyone with confidence.

He is overall a good doctor. He is very firm about the directions he gives you. Overall I like him, and he is understanging about things that come up and his staff is great also.

From the start it was obvious to me that Dr. Naaman and his staff are the absolutel real deal; they're there to truly help and Dr. Naaman is a far cry from billboard surgeron looking to make his pockets chubby full of money.rnrnIt doesn't hurt that Dr. Naaman is noted as one of the tops in the nation for Laparoscopic RNY. Furthermore, he is also known for taking on the more challenging cases other surgeons won't touch, so keep that in mind when comparing complication rates of multiple surgeons. rnrnIn my opinion, Dr. Naaman is a quiet listener, so someone who needs to be stroked and reassured consistently could mistake him for not seeming engaged, but make no mistake, he and his staff are totally about your care.rnrnHis office staff runs like an orchestrated work. Each person has their instrument to play, and when they play together, it's beautiful music! It just makes the process so easy! The other thing that I found of great assistance was the pre-requisite list. I considered that my part to play. The seminar is more than thorough, and I loved the chance to meet Dr. Naaman there first, before the actual consultation. rnrnA large part of Dr. Naaman's protocol is aftercare in the way of support groups, follow-up visits. He preaches the importance of changing your lifestyle, walking and hydrating until you're blue in the face, but it is jut that important for success. On his website , they podcasts are available for the events where they have speakers come in -- it's really helpful to refer back to them as needed. rnrnAs far as one being better than the other; surgical competance or bedside manner? Again, I think he is a quiet man, yet is still friendly, professional and totally approachable. But someone who needs a lot of stroking reassurance should let him know what your needs are -- I have no doubt he'll make you feel as warm and fuzzy as possible! rnrnFor me, the main thing I was looking for was surgical competance. I knew I had my family and my friends for support, stroking and reassurance.
