My first impression of Dr. Rohrscheib was that he was a little quiet...but when we started talking he was very nice. My first appointment with him was in a consultation room where he described both surgeries to me in depth. He gave me lots of information for both. I was a little surprised that he told me about the patients he had lost from these procedures and the reasons for...Out of like 2000 cases he had a couple that had complications...some related to the surgery....some not...but I was grateful for his honesty. His office was very clean, professional and organized. His staff is incredible!!! Believe me when I tell you that they go above and beyond anything they have to. Everyone from the receptionist, the nurses, nutritionists and PA...to the billing staff....are all fantastic!!! I can honestly tell you that I don't know of anything they could improve on!! I would recommend this office to anyone! I just wanted to add an update....Dr. Rohrscheib saved my life and I am so thankful for him. He took a chance on me when no one else wanted to and for that I will be forever grateful to him and his staff!!

I was very impressed with his personalization with me. His office staff was very, very friendly and helpful. He lets you know up front of all the time and dedication this takes and the change in life style. He also makes sure you know it is and ongoing life style. He went over the risk of the surgery compared to how may he has performed. rnrnSurgical competence is of course the most important factor in choosing a surgeon.

We were very impressed with his cander and honesty in explaining the revision surgery and answering all my questions about the possible complications due to this surgery being a little more involved. He explained things throughly, since I am in the medical field also. I am impressed that he does seem to care about his patients and their sucess in managing such a debilating disease. His office was very nice, roomy and the staff was friendly and curteous. rnI also liked that fact that he has a through aftercare program....my first surgeon had NO aftercare at all. rn

Dr. Rohrscheib seems to be a quiet and thoughtful kind of physician. He is excellent about providing complete answers to any questions, and inspires confidence in his abilities and skill. rnrnHis office staff is absolutely terrific. I had fought BCBS IL for over 2 years attempting to get approved. After they intervened, and got the Lap-Band people involved, approval was swift.rnrnIt is incomprehensible to me why BCBS treats people the way they do, it's just crazy. rnrnJULY 26: Surgery yesterday. Dr. Rohrscheib and John Warner hospital absolutely the best, as well as the anesthesiologist. I'm a bit sore today, as to be expected, but quite happy I decided to go ahead with it, and happy with the surgeon and hospital. I highly recommend them.

They went to school and got the degree!!!rnrnExcellent I received a call the day after, and 2-days after that!!! Truly impressed...rnrnYesrnrnEverything has complications.. There are risk of being overweight as well...rnrnon a scale of 1-10 and 10 being the best I will rate Dr Rohrscheib an 11+rnrnBoth are great!!!

Dr Rohrscheib was the best!! From the first time I met him he was very kind and didnt try to make excuses of what would happen. He was very straight forward and honest. His staff is very nice. I have never called a doctors office where every time you call they are so polite. Besides the drive from Champaign to Clinton everything is great with this doctor and his staff. I am so glad my PCP referred me to him.

Dr. Rohrscheib and his staff were very professional and personable and made me feel comfortable at every visit. He is highly recommended. The hospital in Clinton is very small but the staff there were wonderful as well.

Dr. Sid was very caring and compassionate when I first met him. He had previously performed bariatric surgery on my parents. They were very pleased as well. His office staff was very pleasant and very informed of what I was going through. I had Lap-Band in Oct. of 2005 and I have been very pleased. I have lost 102 lbs. and couldn't have asked for a better surgeon and/or surgical team. He informed my family and I about the consequences of the surgery. Whether it be before or after the surgery, my impression of him and his staff had never changed. I have spoken at 2 of the seminars in Clinton and I would do it again. I feel that surgical competence and bedside manner were all great! I had 3-4 nurses attending to my side every 30 minutes. I was very pleased and I coped well. If I had to do this surgery again, it would be at the top of my list and so would Dr. Rohrscheib. I want to thank him and his staff for all they have done. THANK YOU!!!

Dr Syd first impressed me as very knowledgable and caring, he went into great detail with DH and I to show us the Lapband, what he would be doing and what to expect. I went into his office thinking about Lap RNY, and he has almost stopped doing them. rnI was told that the results were the same 5 yrs out.rnrnI was told by the office staff that the Dr was definately using the new AP band and it would be no problem to get one and they would make sure he knew that I wanted it. When I was on the way to surg I reminded him I wanted a new AP band, Sorry Carle doesn't have them, so I got a small band.....frustrationrnAlso, I told him I had problems w/codeine, nausea and headache. He gave me liq lortab that has codeine and I had a 3 day migraine.....I wasn't real happy w/ his listening skills. I understand th needs to stick with what is working, but there is no reason it can't be tweeked a little for a good reason. Dr Rohrscheib did a great job with my surgery. My incisions are all but healed and had very little discomfort. He repaired a hiatal hernia and removed adhesions from my gallbladder scar. That was very nice to hear, Thank God he didn't turn back. All in all he is very good. rnrnThe nurses were 1st rate, my IV was put in with the very 1st stick and the lab got my blood on the very 1st stick. Yeah.

My first impression of him was through his staff. The Staff was very courteous to answer any and all of my questions. They ALWAYS called me back.rnAs far as the doctor... wow.. an amazing man. rnHe comes into the room with a quietness about him at first, but when he speaks, its with sincerity and compassion. I noticed in the hospital he was a bit more relaxed than in our first meeting. He's not the humorist type like I am but he did play along. lol I'm always looking for a smile.rnrnA thet first meeting he let me know that this is a risky surgery as all surgeries are. He gave me the statistics and such. He informed me that he would prefer lap band over the RNY for any of his family members. Due to insurance I had to choose the RNY. rnThe estimated cost that they gave me for the lap band was $15,000. Not bad. There also are financial options that they give you information on to help you out.rnrnBedside manner, Everything was great. From the Doctor, to the nurses at Carle Hospital, to the facility itself. Even in the operating room, the girls there were fabulous. rnrnI give my overall experience a 10. Could'nt have received any better care than what I got all the way around.rnrnOh, you want to hear a negative?? okay The only negative that I have to say about my entire experience is the pre op testing and registration. grrr. All day long going here and there. My body was to fat to go here and there comfortably. hehe but hey, I lived through it and so can you
