I haved decided to change surgeons due to the problems I had with Cigna and the fact that Dr. Rohrscheib is in-network. I felt very at ease with Dr. R., and he was able to answer all of my questions and concerns. He told me that due to my co-morbids, that it was appalling that I had been denied by Cigna, and he and his staff would do everything they could to get me approved. I am also impressed the the aftercare program that Central IL Bariatrics has in place. After I won approval, I was given an immediate surgery date and my pre-ops were done quickly and easily at John Warner Hospital in Clinton.
After surgery comments: I just love this guy! He is caring and professional, and his staff at both his office and the hospital support staff are wonderfully warm and caring people. Dr. Rohrscheib called me at home after I experienced some problems not related to surgery and so has the staff. I would recommend Dr. Rohrscheib to anyone. Plus, I think my scar is awesome, really!!!

I was impressed with Dr. Rohrscheib. He was honest about the pluses and minuses of the surgery, and basically told me of everything involved and how he felt about me having the surgery, then left me to make the decision. His office staff (Rita) is wonderful. He is young, but is credentials are impressive. I'm having my surgery in Clinton, IL which is about 1hr. and 20 minutes from my home. I'm glad that there is someone finally in Central Illinois that does this procedure. I think the thing that impressed me the most was that Dr. Rohrscheib was honest and when he was unsure of a questioons I asked he said, "I don't know, but I'll find out." Also I brought my sister with me. I suggest when you go to any consultation bring someone else with you, because when you are talking with your doctor, there are things that you forget to ask and if you have someone else that knows you with you, they remember to ask.

I met with dr. rohrscheib at my first consult. he seemed very quiet and very knowledgable. His assistant Rita is great. I have probably called her 4 or 5 times in a 2 week period. she is very patient. i talked with a few ladies in the waiting room that were post op and they had nothing but great things to say. He only does open rny, he says that maybe someday he will do lap, but now he feels more comfortable doing the open. I also saw one ladies scar at 8 months post op and it looked pretty good. it took my doctors and specialists like 2 weeks to get everything sent in to the doctors office. i will find out monday if she has sent everything into the state for approval.
he does surgery at both the hospital in clinton and carle in urbana. at this time, everyone at his clinic has so far chosen to go to clinton. other patients have told me that clinton has great 1 on 1 care and he basically always has the same nurses ect. so they all kind of groove together in this.

I can't say anough good things about this doctor! He and his staff have been great. The nurses at John Warner hospital were also very careing and wonderful.

I had my first consultation with Dr. Rohrshcheib today. He gave a very balanced picture of the benefits and risks of WLS. His office staff is very nice and knowledgable about all the aspects of WLS. He requires that you see a nutritionist before the surgery to go over all the stages of food intake after surgery. I wish he had done more of these operations already, but I am confident of his abilities.

I had a great meeting with Dr. Rohrscheib and I really need to be closer to home and he is only 25 miles. I felt that he will take good care of me. He was very informed and is staff was great.

I had surgery on June 12th and every thing went great Dr. Rohrscheib is wonderful and I would highly recommend him and his staff at the hospial.

I met Dr Rohrscheib today for the first time, he explained everything very well...he is was also very nice! His center is new and only about a month old but his staff was very knowledgable and had lots of info for me.
I had my pre-ops on the same day thanks to them and my surgery is set for 7 days from now WOW!
What I also like is they will be forming a support group and alot of ppl will be from my area.

Dr. Rohrscheib thoroughly explained the surgey, why it does work, and the risks and complications that could possibly arise. His level of communication and rapport are very strong on a doctor/patient level. His staff, although small, as he is just getting the center started, is well-informed. There is an aftercare program, as well as a dietician to assist in making your food selections. Overall I left with a positive impression that I would be in capable caring hands.

When I met Dr. Alston I knew I was going to like him. He is very down to earth and he sits down and talks to you and you don't feel that he is in a hurry to get you out of there. He is very honest and he has a wonderful personality.
His office staff is the greatest. They are just very uplifting people to be around.

On initial consult he took allot of time with me and answered all my questions. I felt he was thorough and respectful. He said I should be a good candidate for the lap band surgery. So far so good!
