He is an awesome person, explains everything fully, and was always kind and thoughtful when it came to talking to me.

My impression doesn't seem to change.

I went to the Obesity Center in Morristown, NJ and the nurse Mary Meola has also had the surgery and is wonderful.

Don't have a least like, I think he's an awesome dr, and don't have anything bad to say about him.

He's a great guy!

Aftercare is VERY important.

I have a huge booklet for aftercare.

Risks of surgery were well explained in detail.

I'd give him a 9 (nobody is perfect)

Both are great!

I really like Dr. Bertha (they spelled his
name wrong, ha!). Other patients of his
told me how nice he was and that he genuinly
cares about his patients and I had the
exact same reaction when I met him. He
explained everything to me fully and took
as much time as I needed during my appt.
Mary, who coordinates everything for him
could not be any nicer. She walks you
through everything step by step, including
all the appts. and care both before and
after. She runs a support group at Morristown
Memorial Hospital every second Tuesday of
the month and everyone is welcome. They
have guest speakers and explain everything
in full. Plus you get to meet people who
have actually had the surgery. I haven't met
anyone yet who hasn't had a big smile on
their face!! GO OBESITY CENTER AT MMH!!

I met with Mary Meola, the RN managaing the Obesity Center. Several surgeons work with the center including Dr. Bertha and Drs. Egoda and Abkins. Each are specialists in Laproscoic surgery with special training for Gastric Bypass. The Dr. I will be working with is Dr. Nicholas Bertha. He sat in on part of my intitial interview, gave me a brief examination and determine what pre-work-ups I should have.

Mary does more of the suort work, but the surgeon was open friendly and was checking to see how much I know about the surgery and we briefly reviewed the process.

I received what will have been the only complilment on my apple tummy I will ever receive. He said I have a "perfect tummy" for LAP surgery!
