Dr. Wilkenfeld and his staff and very professional and work to put you at ease. His clinic is run by his wife who has many years of experience as an OR nurse. They are very personable and his nurse supplies you with her cell phone number in case of emergencies after hours. In addition, they offer: free nutrition meetings once per month; free fluid withdrawal from the band (many drs charge for this). Dr. Wilkenfeld also requires a monthly followup for the first 12 months postop. I highly recommend this facility.

My first impression of Dr. WIlkenfeld was that he truly had concern for his patients. He took the time to really expalin the lap band and how it worked.Him and his wife have a great after care program called the true you program.They are also trying to implement a program for patient that over one year and stuck in a plateau called the back on track program.I would rate Dr. Wilkenfeld on a scale of 1 to 10, a 10 he is everything that I wanted in a surgeon.

Dr. Wilkenfeld is a very nice man. Unlike some surgeons he has a great bedside manner. I knew I was going to like him the first day I met him. He is knowledgable and very confident, but not at all arrogant. I have only known him since December, but after my surgery, my feelings of him have not changed. His office staff are so caring and very welcoming. He has a wonderful coordinator who is organized and pationate about her job. Prior to surgery you attend a class to prepare you and after you attend a class to promote the success of your surgery. The process is in steps and you never really get too much information at once. It's all provided just at the right time. I do not really have any complaints at all with the doctor or is staff. I just wish I lived closer to attend their support groups and make aftercare easier.
