Dr Corin, you did my surgery in Dec 2003, I seemed to have every complication there was but after the first year I felt like I was living my life, we moved to Arkansas in 2010 I had been being treated for anemia for awile and that was fine but I had hemroid surgery which turned into a fistula, I complained to the Dr's that something was not right and they told me I was drug seeking because I was going through my meds to fast, I found a new Dr who said I had Lupus, and MTHF and malnurishment, low on b12 and anemic, and so she started to treat me for tht, but than I developed pain in my lower back that would bring me to my knees and they found I had a kidney stone, degerated disc and impacted bowl, the pharmist called my Dr and told her I was taking 12 tylenol with codiene a day, which the bottle said too, my dr dropped me, I ended up in the ER twice, every gastric bypass patient refuses to treat me, and I do not know what to do, I have no energy, I cant get my anemia infusions because I do not have a DR to order them or my B12 shots, also I am concerned about my generated disc and bowl obstruction, they all look at you like you are crazy when you tell them all this, My equalibrium if off as well and I fall quite a bit, I feel like my life is worse now than it was when I was 304 that and my son who is 16 develoved anorexia in 2007 and almost died, montel williams did a show on him, I do not know where to go or who too turn too, please help, I found you to be the best Dr, and I have faith that you will be able to help me, also is it true that gastric bypass patients due not absorp reg pain meds like reg people, Thank YOU

I have had Dr Coirin for two years with my lap band and have now revised to RNY. He is a great Dr. very caring and takes very good care of his patients. He has a great name around the hospital . I heard several good comments about him. I also had another appointment with a new PCP and when I told him I was under Dr Coirins care he told me many years ago he worked with him with some teaching. I trust him totally.

I had bypass surgery by Antonio Coirin in Sept 2007. His staff was very helpful and pleasant during all visits. I didn't meet Dr Coirin until 15 minutes prior to going into surgery and saw him for 2 mins after the surgery on the day he released me to go home. Even though I didn't have that much contact with the Dr himself, I would say during my brief encounters he was very competent and had a good bedside manner. Loved his smile! I really loved the informational "Bari Bible" provided by the Dr and referred to often during the process. Aftercare importance was emphasized throughout the entire process. There was no real "aftercare program" offered by the office, but they do stress the importance of finding a support group and making sure to get check ups with the Dr including blood work. I'm celebrating my 4th anniversary this month, having a total weight loss of 183 pounds within the first 12 months. I am 5'7" tall and I started at my highest weight of 320+ pounds. I lost 183 pounds. I went from a size 30/32 to a size 8 in less than a years time. I have had no problems keeping the weight off. I believe that it is because I understood from the beginning that the Dr would be fixing my stomach, but I had to fix my head. I would recommend Dr Coirin for anyone considering the surgery.

THE SURGERY SAVE MY LIFE!! I think the surgery is a decision that someone should really do the homework and know all the risk and negatives. The positives are pretty obvious. As far as surgeons Dr Coirine was concerned about my surgery and that is what I wanted. I wasnt there to make a friend but he was a nice friendly person. His staff is remarkale especially Sonya. She seemed to be be able to manipulate the inurace bologna which in 2005 notorious when it came to bariatrics. The entire team was very responsive to my needs, they had ample amount of resources which they made sure I was aware of. Their was ideally timed classes and milestone check ups. I am very glad that my Primary Care Dr referred his office.

My first impression if Antonio Coirin was in Summer 2008 at his seminar in Modesto, I found him to be very informational and to have a great sence of humor. rnI had lapband surgery in January 2009 Throught the Pre Op process his staff was very helpful and kind even though i called often to check on my status. lol...rnHis staff is very helpful and kind. However there was ONE day where I thought the staff was kind of unprofessional. HOWEVER, without me saying anything about it the staff apologized for the incident on my following visit. Dr. Coirin stresses the importance of aftercare/follow up. I appreciate everything he has done for me even though I am still just starting out and haven't lost much weight yet, I know that someday (hopefully soon.. lol) I WILL. So far my experiences with Dr. Coirin and his staff have been very well.

My first impression of Dr. Coirin was through his staff, we didn't actually get to meet until the morning of the surgery, though I have since spoken/met with him on numerous occasions. His staff is well informed, educated, very professional AND sensitive to the special needs of WLS patients. I was impressed with the emphasis on patient education, and the lengths we, as possible candidates, were required to go through in order to give a truly informed consent for whatever procedure we chose. And, now, being post-op (12/23/08), I very much appreciate the aftercare program and monitoring. I developed a slight complication 1 month post-op, and I couldn't have been in better hands - doctor and staff.

Dr. Coirin is in my book a life saver. Most would say that because of the surgery. Dr. Coirin saved me years after as I was sick with a severe vitamin def. He knew what was wrong when the other Dr.s were guessing at it.rnrnI could go on about him and his staff. Like any office they have some problems. They are busy. I have to say that for me they have always been more then willing to work with me and help in any way they can.rnrn
