George Ferzli Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS

This program is well organized and everyone involoved, from the office staff, nutritionists, coordinator, and surgeon are very knowledgeable. Not only are they knowledgeable, but they are also nice and made me feel very comfortable. Educational materials included all information necessary for me to understand about my procedure.

I was very impressed from the first time I entered the office. On the walls of Dr, Ferzli's office, many certificates, articles about his work, and diplomas were hung, indicating to me that this was a very skilled surgeon. He was easy to talk to and everyone in the office was extremely helpful. I feel the program is excellent overall.

The first person you see when you go to his office is Karen. She makes you feel comfortable and answers any and every question you have. She sends you off with a folder chock full of information and it is all extremely helpful.
What I love about his staff is that they take their time with you. You never feel like you are bothering them.

You will also see Lisa or Laura the nutritionists and Dr. Mahoney the therapist. Everyone of them are great and extremely helpful.

You need to attend two support meetings before the surgery is even scheduled. These meetings are so helpful. You meet people that are all dealing with the same thing...obesity. There are even post op patients there and they share their stories.

Dr. Ferzli stresses aftercare...you need to follow the rules..why wouldn't you?

I was very confident with Dr. Ferzli from the initial meeting. I find him to be precise, to the point with a "no nonsense" approach. He is serious as should his patients be, since this is a life saving surgery. I was very well informed and found the support groups to be helpful. It is a very well rounded program and I continue to receive clear, precise direction from the surgeon, nutritionist and entire staff. Aftercare is an important part of the program amd I enjoy the fact that i can see my nutritionist Laura and Doctor Ferzli at the same visit. In my opinion, this is an excellent program with a great surgeon.

I was very happy with Doctor Ferzli from the beginning. He is professional and caring. I had the surgery this past March and I already feel that the surgery has been life saving. I am already on less medication since the procedure.

I love Doctor Ferzli. The first time I saw him, I had a feeling that I could trust him with my life 100%. I was right, the surgery was a success, no complications. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes. That night, I was walking down the hallway with my nurse at the hospital. It was very important to walk after surgery. I was in Lutheran Medical Center for only two days but I had doctors checking in on me often. The follow up care at Doctor Ferzli's office is a pleasure. They gave me a lot of information before surgery and I can always call if I have questions. I now see Laura the nutritionist. I'm glad that I chose Doctor Ferzli and his team. I lost 45 pounds in the last two months and I feel great. YEAH!

Well...I just had my surgery a week ago and I was referred to Dr. Ferzli by a friend of mine who had the surgery 2 or 3 years ago. I didn't get to meet him at the beginnig but all what my friend told me about him and after I went to the office and have seen all the awards that he took from all over the world, was more than enought to complete a perfect impression on Dr. Ferzli. And when I finally met him, I was impressed by his calmness, professionalism and the sweet smile that is always on his face.
The day of the Surgery before i go to the operation room, he came to me and talked with me a little bit to make me feel calm. and after the surgery also, he came to the recovery room to make sure that I was ok. His Assistant Dr. Vulpe also was checking on me everyday while I was in the hospital. Dr. Ferzli and the whole team are very caring and very professional and I'm glad that I took the right decision by going to Dr. Ferzli and following his program, and i would definitly recommend Dr, Ferzli to everyone.
Also Karen Sander the co-ordinator helped me a lot in finishing all my paper work. also a special thanks to laura the nutritionist who answered all my questions and concerns until the day before my surgery

Overall, both Doctor Ferzli and Doctor Vulpe are amazing. They make you feel comfortable and they answer all your questions clearly. Karen, the nurse explained everything perfectly and Laura, the nutritionist helps me out constantly. The entire staff is very kind.

My first impression of the doctor was that he was very serious but also very confident in his work. The entire staff was always very nice, never rude and always made me feel at ease. I never feel afraid or intimidated to ask questions. The risks of surgery have always been reviewed with me. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest, I would give this program a 10.
