Dr.Slotman was wonderful upon my first meeting with
him. His bed side manner was excellent. He
answered every question and took the time
to go over the risks in the surgery so you
understand everything. I would highly recommend
him to anyone. He knows his stuff. I would rate
Dr.Slotman Aplus.... I had the surgery in October 2002. It is almost 8 years later and I have never been happier~ I wouldnt have changed a thing. He is the best surgeon in the world! I cant say enough about him. He is a excellent surgeon.
I was very impressed with Dr. Slotman when I first walked into his office. He reviewed
the info about the surgery, what I should expect, time of recovery, etc. I was also very
impressed with the pre-surgery, during surgery
and after surgery care that Dr. Slotman and the
Lourdes Medical Associates team provided to me.
I would strongly recommend any person considering the surgery to trust Dr. Slotman
with the operation. He has said to me several
times,"I want to thank you for what you have done for me." He would continue by saying,
" You see, when you look good you make me look
good!"
I had lost over 100 pounds on my owen then I notice after a while I started to gain it back a little at a time , I got so mad , I decided
RNY my aunt went to Dr Slotman he was great , right to the point, My first app with Dr S. 2/10 then I went to all the doctors I needed to go to. got all the Dr app done by 4/1 , faxed all my papers to the Dr S on the 4/5 Mon and they faxed everything to my Inc on 4/7 my Inc approved on 4/13 surgey is plan for 5/10 , I still have a pre op meeting to go to on 4/26 and Then Dr S 4/27 Finaly Pat at the Hospital on 5/3 , It didn't take long , I choose Dr S. because he does open RNY and I feel comfortable with the old way of surgey ,
The office staff is great , Karen , & Dawn are wonderful !! Thank you Girl ! I will tell everyone about Dr. Slotman. it was painless !
he is very nice and forward with things i became more calmer with him, the office staff i absolutly adore =] i think you should pick him as your surgeon becuz he acualy does care about you and your health!
I was referred to Dr. Slotman by a few family friends who have had successful WLS so I knew going into this I was going to be taken care of without a doubt. I have no complaints about my surgeon. He explained everything to me in detail. Exactly how things were going to be before and after surgery. I absolutely adore Dawn from his office, she is great! I would definately recommend Dr. Slotman to anyone who is interested in WLS.
I like my surgeon, thought he was thorough with my pre op consults. His office staff were very helpful, especially, Shirley and Karen. My surgery went well, he plays your choice of music in the OR, which I thought was nice. After surgery his visits while I was an inpatient were very brief, he kind of rushed in and out real fast, before I had time to ask questions. but overall, I think he is a great surgeon and really has an interest in his patient's well being. He has a get together once a year for all his wls patients, last year was nice, but I haven't gotten any notice about this year's get together. I hope they didn't forget me or decide not to do it anymore, because it really is nice to meet his other patients and add to your support group. dr. slotman is a great surgeon with a quirky bedside manner, that I really liked.
Dr. Slotman was very impressive and very positive. His staff displayed the same positive attitude and made me feel like all would be just fine. Staff obtained Insurance approval in only 2 weeks.
Dr. Slotman is an amazing man and doctor... always there to answer any question or concern. I never felt so at ease with any doctor in my life. When you have an appointment plan to be there for a few hours.. just as he will answer all of your questions he will offer the same kindness to every patient that is before you. So bring along some work, books, mags.. hell we are high tech now ... bring a movie! hehe rn I remember him coming in to the operating room with a tyedyed bandana on his head.. looking all goofy. He just smiled reminded me I could get up and leave if I was not ready for this very abbrassive surgery that was about to happen. I felt safe with him. I some how knew that he was going to do everything he could to make me feel whole inside.. and look like a super model as he called it hehern There is an aftercare program I blew it off. He did not like that. I suggest following through every should have a good support group. I think every one goes through some sort of depression after..I think it is almost a mourning period. As ridiculous as that sounds I have found it to be true with a lot of gastric bypass patients. I also work in the medical field and have seen it. So do what the good doc tells you to! He is Awesome!! Knows his stuff.. and has a good heart.
