I THOUGHT THEY LOOKS HAPPY? IT'S TWO OF THEM.
MY IMPRESSION NEVER CAHNGE I THOUGHT THEY WERE THE GREATEST THEY EXPLAINE EVERYTHING SO MUCH CLEARER.THE STAFF IS GREAT AND HELPFUL.NOTHING EVERTHING WAS GREAT ABOUT THEM. I AM ONE OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES AND I TOLD HIM I DON'T EXCEPT BLOOD HE DID NOT MAKE A BIG ISSUE OUT OF IT. HE SAID SIGN THE PAPERS AND EVERTHING WILL GO FINE.HE IS THE GREATEST.IN ONE WORD I WOULD SAY FRIENDLY
BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED TO BE WHEN YOU ARE DOCTOR.

I researched to find a doctor that do revision surgeries and several came up. I first we to U of C and didn't like anything about the place. I then called Dr. Kane's office and was given an appointment right away. I was afraid to see him because of previous experience with the other doctor but when Dr. Kane came in I could tell that he was a good doctor that cared about his patients. We talked about everything and he started the ball rolling on the process. He called me personally and told me my results and recommendations and things have been moving on since. I know I'm in good hands and can't wait until I can write my post-op review about my surgery results.

Four years post-op and I am so thankful I had Dr. Kane! He is a caring person who understands the heart of obesity. I highly recommend him, and I lost the extra 150 pounds as he directed me to do, and have kept it off!

Thanks,
Georgianna Frye

I love Dr Kane! I work at the hospital and I know that his whole group is great. But Dr. Kane I believe is just the best I know for a fact that his Dad Dr Kane Sr. was a pioneer in weight loss surgery. Dr Kane Sr has since retired. I believe that Dr Kane Jr. has learned from one of the best his Dad. I will let you know nore after he does the surgery.

What was your first impression of him/her? He is a very nice man.

How did your impression change over time? It did not

How would you describe his/her office staff? They are very professional. Billing staff is wonderful!

What did you like least about him/her? I only met with him briefly; however, all of my questions were answered.

What should future patients know about him/her? Ask lots of questions!

How much does he/she emphasize aftercare? It is required.

Does he/she have a structured aftercare program? Yes

How did he/she address the risks of surgery? There is information given to you on paper, the psychologist talks about it, it's talked about at the seminar too.

How would you rate him/her overall? Wonderful

Which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner, or are both great? Both!

My first impression of Dr. Kane was what a caring man he is. He looked me in the eyes and told me what it was going to take to be able to get to the point that I could have my weight loss surgery. I grew to trust him more each time I saw him or his staff. Everyone in the office was extremely encouraging and the hospital staff at Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village Illinois are awesome. They all emphasize aftercare which I feel is extremely crucial. I had to go back into the hospital in July of 07 and have an internal hernia repaired. I was a sick little girl and had to have an NG tube placed. Dr. Guske who is one of Dr. Kane's associates placed the tube and was very gentle and caring with me. I moved to Springfield Missouri about 5 months after my surgery and I have had a hard time connecting and keeping up with my aftercare here. I now see Dr. Christopher Edwards and his staff is great too. Both are Centers of Excellence and I would trust them with my life again if need be.

Dr Kane is wonderful, I feel very confident about the surgery going well.rnHe has always listened to me and gave me the information I needed to feel relaxed about the whole process.

Dr. Kane is very personable. He asks the hard questions...His office staff were very friendly and helpful, and treated me with repect. Dr. Kane addressed the risks involved. Surgical competence is definitely the most important attribute, if he/she has a great bedside manner...then that is great!

Dr. Kane seems very knowledgeable and comitted to the process. He is kind and very calming. He answerd all my questions. BEST of all, He took excellent care of my husband when he had surgery!rnrnThe actual doctor's/surgical office staff is very nice, efficient, and helpful. Wait times, are not too bad. Nice, clean office-lots to read while you wait. Very professional.rnrnThe Kane Center staff is a little different. I did NOT like the way I was treated there when I went for the psycological eval. They were VERY rude and argumentative. They INSISTED that I had to use their psych Dr. and not one that was in-network for my plan. That resulted in a high out of network deductible for both my husband and I! ($950.00)rnrnAfter care seems good. They have support groups every weekend. It is real comforting to be around others going through the same thing.rnI have not had surgery yet, will be able to update afterwards.rnrnWell it is the afterwards folks! I am doing well. BIG thanks to Dr. Kane and Dr. Guske and ALL the staff at the hospital. Things went well and I am on the mend.rnrnI would DEFINITELY reccomend Dr. Kane!
