Dr. Pilkington is my surgeon, he came across as knowing alot about his skill's. When i first saw him, i didn't know he was the dr. he was at a support group meeting. He is very freindly answered all my question's which i had alot of them.I am thinking that he is going to have a wonderful bed-side manner, but yet be sturn. He makes little joke's when they are needed but yet put's it on the line. Jodi is dr. pilkingtons office girl she is just wonderful, she had everything set up in just minutes for me. Dr. Pilkington is very careing and helpful. Dr. lets you know about what could happen during surgery and after. Also lets you know what has to be done after surgery as far as your care and diet. He is very informative about everything. As of right now i think he's going to be very good. In a dr. i can only hope for surgical competence along with a good bed-side manner.

Dr. Pilkington is great. Young, maybe 35 or 38, trained by Dr. Scholton from Grand Rapids. Very down-to-earth, straight forward and to the point. Office staff is wonderful, especially Jodi. She works hard to get us the right treatment from our Insurance companies.

I met with Dr. Pilkington after a recommendation from my family Doctor. He would not see me until I had had a phycological evaluation, a full medical history and exam, a gall bladder ultrasound and I don't know what else. He was very supportive once I got in to see him. His staff was extremely professional and helpful. He sent me to have a sleep study done to see if I would test positive for sleep apnea. I was hesitant at first because I did not beleive I did and I though it might do maor harm than good. He said go for it and sure enough I tested positive. Now I have a comorbidity to go along with my BMI of 40. His office is working right now with the ensurance company to get pre-approval.
Dr. Pilkington was very thorough in his explination of the surgical process and the risks associated with having it. I did not feel rushed in the least and he answered all of my questions. My first impression of him was that I would feel very comfortable with him as a surgeon. My only worry is that he has not performed a great deal of surgerys. He is fairly new to the field.

I had my first visit with Dr. Pilkington on Friday, Aug. 4,2000. He spend 1 1/2 hours with me, we went over the entire procedure and he answered all my questions (I had printed out the questions on the web site). I was very pleased with his manner and his responses. His office staff has been excellent, and very helpful.Since Dr. Pilkington is new to our town, he is just getting started with patients. He wants to start a support group for our area. I will have more information after my surgery.
