Dr Lenz is a wonderful Dr. It has been 4 years since my lapband surgery and my follow up care has been great. Carolyn, Dr Lenz's assistant and Dr Lenz are always available to help and answer any questions I have. I have had stumbling blocks but they always get me back on track. Today I am 130 pounds lighter.
I loved Dr. Lenz, from the informational session onward! he is very personable with a great bedside manner and you can tell he cares about every patient. I have had many other surgeries so I know what to "look for" in a surgeon. I could not have had a better experience. It was wonderful. He is very caring and does not judge. He is straight forward. A great surgeon! He explained risks as well as benefits of all the surgical choices at the info meeting and at the initial consultation gave his opinion on which was best for me, in my particular medical situation. I had my surgery 2/28/11 and I owe Dr. Lenz and his PA Carolyn my life!
my first impression was that he was confident that he could help me and seemed to really care about his patients. My impression hasnt changed he seems very competent and caring. the only bad thing I could say is he seems to be spread very thin.he does lots of surgeries and it is hard to get convenient appts.for fills etc.He has recently hired a PA who should help out alot on that front.Overall I think he is great very attentive and willing to listen and explain things in a very down to earth caring manner.
Dr. Lenz is fabulous. He has actually operated on me three times and on both my parents and my husband. I would recommend him to anyone. He is so personable and kind. And he's left handed.
I 'met' my potential surgeon last night at an informational seminar. My first impressions: He is a caring, passionate man who is on the ball and very knowledgable about WLS. Never did I feel like I was 'abnormal' or a 'bad' person. He was upbeat and clearly a person who wants to help others. I made an appointment for a personal consultation for July 11.
1. In to much of a hurry during my initial exam.rnrn 2. I needed Dr. Lenz to review additional testing that I had done since I last saw him and he was unable to talk to me directly.rnrn 3. The office staff was very helpful and nice to me.rnrn 4. I felt that I had had my once chance to meet with him and my 15 minutes were over.rnrn 5. This may only be due to the fact that my insurance prior authorization was denied so I was no longer a potential patient.rnrn 6. N/Arnrn 7. N/Arnrn 8. Dr. Lenz was very helpful. He explained all the benefits, risks, and so on. He seemed to have a great 'bedside' manner as well. Overall I feel very satisfied and comfortable with this surgeon.
I met with Dr. Lenz today, November 21, 2006. I thought he was very nice, knowledgeable, willing to answer all questions and made sure he understood my medical background. He had an assistant with him and she was very nice. He addressed all risks for both lap band and RNY. He stated that he recently had 2 or 3 patients that had the RNY surgery previously done that he had placed lap bands on.rnDr. Lenz also stated that they had recent surgical technique updates from a surgeon in Texas and that the updates are a on going process. They have only had 2 slippages and they were both laproscopically fixed and both patients are doing extremely well having lost an average of 60+ pounds. All the staff were extremly pleasant and I feel very confident that Dr. Lenz will be a great surgeon and I don't have any fears of anything going wrong.rnrn
