Dr. Kole is the best!!! When I first saw him, I thought, wow is he tall!! He seems like a quiet fellow. But in all actuality, he's listening trying to learn everything about you and I believe, learning your personality so that he can determine what surgery best suits you. The entire staff couldn't be any nicer!! Everyone, I mean everyone is so friendly and knowledgable. I couldn't recommend a better place to have bariatric surgery. Dr. Kole has the best beside manner that I have come across in a long time. One thing about the dr.'s and staff at St. John Weight Loss Center is they are very much on top of pain management. They refuse to allow you to suffer. When you go in for your post-surgical visits, they treat you just as special when you came in the first time, only now they know who you are!! Dr. Kole explained the risks of the surgery, but he is also very reassuring that you are in more than capable hands. If I could, I'd give Dr. Kole and his entire staff a big 20. Going through a surgical procedure of this magnitude surgical competence is of the utmost importance, but bedside manner is a big help in the healing process. Dr. Kole has it all and then some!!! Don't believe me? Go see for yourself.

When I first went to Dr. Kerry Koles office for a seminar, I was very impressed with everyone there. They have a great staff. Dr. Kole and other staff members who spoke at the seminar answered everyone's questions without feeling rushed. Clara, the insurance coordinator is great! She kept on top of everything I had to do to get approved from my insurance company. They also referred me to my new primary care physician, who has also had bariatric surgery...he too is wonderful! I would recommend everyone to St Johns Weight Loss Clinic!

My first impression of Dr. Kole was very impressive. He seemed to be a very understanding man with tons of knowledge and information on obesity. He looks at obesity as a disease, not a lifestyle choice. He seems to really care about his patients and their success. I can't say enough about his office staff. Everyone in his office has gone through bariatric surgery so they understand what we are going through. Sara, the insurance coodinator jumped through hoops to get me approved. While I was going through my weight documentation with my PCP, Sara called me every month to let me know she had received the latest letter. I guess the thing I liked the least about my surgeon was that I met him initially in January and didn't see him again until the day of my surgery (9/2/08). I really wasn't sure if he remembered me or not. Aftercare is very important to the staff at St. John Weight Loss Clinic. They have a support group meeting every month and they are very informative. Tawnya is very knowledgeable on WLS as she is a patient herself. She has kept her weight off for 8 years. I would rate Dr. Kole and hes staff a 9. The only other problem I had was with the psychologist they referred me to. I specifically asked if he was approved by BCN. Also I asked if other patients had been approved using him. I was told that they were. Well, I think I was misinformed because after all of my documentation was done and submitted to BCN, I was denied because I had not had an evaluation by an approved provider. I paid $150.00 out of pocket because he did not accept any insurance. I did this because he worked very closely with the St. John staff. I was under the impression that the was the \"go to\" guy. I had to quickly fing another psychologist and get another eval. This time is cost me only $10.00. From what I hear now is that Dr. M****k (I will not disclose his name in a public forum) misrepresented himself and is no longer affiliated with Dr. Kole's office.

My first impression of Dr. Kerry Kole, was \"wow, he is a tall guy!\" He also is very nice and has a very warm spirit and personality. He is very patient and answered a lot of questions in the seminar, as well as one on one. I'm very glad that I chose him so far. I got a good first impression and they usually don't lie. I was also able to meet a patient who was 1 week post-op, and she said that Dr. Kole was an awesome surgeon and she had great things to say about him.

Dr. Kole was very down to earth but professional. I liked him immediately. I really like the fact that he has so much trauma care with Gastric Bypass Patients. He answered all questions and did not make you feel like you were being rushed. Thoroughly explained the surgery to the group and answered all questions. His presentations of the surgery and obesity was very extensive. All of his staff and the CORI staff in general are so sweet and nice. After surgery he promptly came out and spoke with family to tell them how it went and answered all questions. Cori staff has been great answering my calls when I call or returning them quickly. UPDATE 04/27/04 I can not say enough good things about CORI center and Dr. Kole. First thing is after dealing with them now for 6.5 months, i have NEVER had a bad episode with this staff. Dr. Kole is so awesome, and is willing to answer all questions and take his time till you understand the answer fully, he never makes me feel rushed. Also his staff, Jenn and Chuckie, are great too, they answer any questions you call and ask, usually right then and there, you don't get voice-mail. I would recommend them to anyone.

1). My first impression of Dr. Kole was wow, is he tall. He addressed our classroom and was well spoken, informative, and answered any questions we felt to ask. rnrn2). When I had my first exam with Dr. Kole; I found him to have a sense of humor as well as brains. I stood at the counter filling out a questionare when he came in the doorway. I didn't turn my head because I am still constricted to my neck brace; I told him, \" come on in, have a seat, I'll be right with you.\" He never missed a que and played the part of the patient. I thought that was pretty cool. As far as informative; he answered each and every question, and helped me feel confident reaching a decision about my surgery. rnrn3). I found the Warren Center to be a hopping place. All of the office staff were friendly and helpful. Even though my paper work always seemed to be missing something they had a copy of before, they were polite and helpful.rnrn4). So far there isn't anything I have found negitive regarding my doctor, his skills as a surgeon, or his personality.rnrn5). Future patients should remember this: Dr. Kole seems to truly care about his patients, and there are many of them! Each has importance. Sometimes he may run late, have to cancel appointments, or may be human just like the rest of us and have a not so wonderful day. I think he is great myself, but keep in mind; even you have good and bad days. rnrn6). After care was just part of the procedure, it wasn't an option. You can't take one without the other or you will end up having problems that could have been well prevented. rnrn&. The risks of surgery are plainly explained at the time of orientation. Any questions you have about it at the time he gives you plenty of time to ask. rnrnRating him overall; In my case I would give him a 10. Simply because not only are his skills that which I felt very good, his bed side manner was just as pleasing. rnrnrnrn

'Dr Kole was very straight forward. He told me all of the risks that were involved with the surgery. He also disclosed how many patients he had lost and why. At the time I had my surgery
