Dr. Webb's office has been extremely professional and helpful during the planning/preparation stage of this surgery. Dr. Webb's seminar on the gastric procedures was very detailed and enlightening and actually served to win my husband over about the surgeries. rnrnIts been more than 2 years since surgery and I love Dr. Webb, he is a great guy and a wonderful surgeon. Others in healthcare speak very highly of him as well. rnrnI think very less of the LWLCS, in the beginning they were very helpful and encouraging, basically until they got my money. They have one of the larger 'program fees' and you don't get what you pay for. I did all the paperwork needed for insurance submittal myself and had to call twice to get them to simply fax all the information in. After surgery, I got a 1 week f/u call and that was pretty much it. Dr. Webb has been very supportive of our support group, even putting out fliers in his general surgery office but the LWLCS has said to me on several occasions they would support and do whatever they could for our group but have never followed through with anything. rnrnYou meet with Dr. Webb has at his general surgery practice, I recommend getting to him directly through this office or through Memorial Hospital's Bariatric program, not through LWLCS. I know of several folks who have gone this route and are very pleased with the process. Best of luck.rnrnI will say that Dr. Webb is pretty laid back and he is not aggressive about being negative on your progress, he sets a few very specific rules and then lets you live your life. Its not about dieting, its about living. This is exactly what I wanted.

Dr. Webb and his office staff are wonderful; however, the surgery coordinators who handle the paperwork are pricy, challenging to work with, and provide very little aftercare. rnrnAll in all, I was resolved in my decision to move forward with Dr. Webb because of his outstanding reputation and professional bedside manner. I only wish that his surgery coordinators were in-house!

He is so great. He was very informative, made me feel so comfortable with what was going to happen, explained what I should expect, answered all my questions and my husband's questions. His office staff is great at getting any information I needed before the surgery including workign with the hospital. They helped me with the paperowrk for my job and insurance and working with my primary care physician. Dr. Webb is an excellent surgeon and I would recommend him anytime. His aftercare program is phenomenal and thorough. He hasn't ever lost a patient!

Dr. Webb is an excellent surgeon. He was very informative and professional and he made me feel comfortable. He is very competent and he makes you feel at ease immediately and tells you what to expect with your surgery and whether you are a good candidate for surgery. He wll not recommend any unecessary surgery. I had my surgery on 08-29-2006. I strarted at 201 lbs and am down to 128 lbs. I had no trouble with my surgery. I have adapted well to my new lifestyle. I have followed my doctors orders and have adhered to his recommendations and advise. I have recommended Dr. Steven Webb to all my friends when asked who my doctor was. I am usually asked what my secret to successfull weight loss is. M answer is, \"It's no secret I had rny surgery.\" because I did not have any loss of work time. I was back at work two weeks after my surgery, so most of my co-workers were not aware that I had even had surgery. I know two of co-workers have gone to see Dr. Webb and have liked him and one of them is already waiting for her surgery. I have a couple of my friends husbands that are going to see Dr. Webb. My health has improved 90% as far as I'm concerned. I am a diabetic and was on 70 units of Insulin N in the mornings and 50 units of insulin in the evening with a sliding scale four times a day from 5 units to 25 units,. I am now on 1 to 2 units of insulin four times per sliding scale and sometimes it is too much. I eat 4 to 5 small meals per day and try to keep my fluid intake as prescribed by my MD. I have maintained my weight from 128 lbs to 132 lbs. I cannot eat fried foods or alot of breads. I did not eat any sweets for first six months after my surgery because I really not good at n/v. I slowly added sugarsand found to my dismay that I am able to tolerate sugars but do get the dumping syndrome with fried foods and breads.

I absolutely love Dr. Webb, and have referred friends and or family to him if they have needed any general surgery, and or anyone looking into WLS. His staff is wonderful and very helpful and quick to handle problems if they arise. rnrnHis after-care has been amazing, going so far for myself that even though I don't need to see him or deal with as often, he still takes the time to contact his staff and have them call me and check in with me. I don't think there is anything negative I could say about him in the least. My only complaint if I had one was that although he was scheduled to perform my gallbladder surgery circumstances caused me to have to go in for an emergency removal that didn't allow him to be able to perform it, but one of his partners was able to step in, and although my complaint was he didn't do the surgery my praise would be that he still checked on me. =) So again not really a complaint..LOL. rnrnHe always kept me informed of any and all complications/risks etc that might arise. During my 3 days in the hospital for the bypass itself he was very attentive and hands on continually. rnrnHe definitely has a personable demeanor, and I like being able to ask him questions without that feeling that sometimes one can get when asking Dr's questions, and I'm sure you can understand. It's that feeling like they are looking at you like an idiot or such. Never once was any question too *dumb* or outlandish. My first impression is the same as the last. Very comfortable and happy. =)

I attended my first seminar with Dr. Webb last night and it went well. I thought he was a very straightforward doctor. He says what he has to say. Everyone I have met at the weight loss center is super nice. They will go out of their way to help you. He emphasizes aftercare and being compliant with the program. The followup care is very structured and you are given a booklet with tons of information that is easy to read. There is a checklist with dates and \"Things to do next.\" I would rate him overall as a 10. I have not one complaint thus far.

I found Dr. Webb through a friend/co-worker, who also had laparoscopic RNY, and he seemed very knowledgeable and open for questions, but it also appeared to be \"routine as usual\". Don't get me wrong, he wasn't rude or pushy, but you are definitely in and out of his office. The weight loss center on the other hand, that he is associated with, is quite different. They are very pleasant and personable. I only had one bad experience with them... and that's when the receptionist scheduled me to have labs/tests that I didn't need and it cost me a co-pay I didn't need to pay!

My first impression of Dr. Webb was that he has terrible bedside manner but after listening to his seminar I found that he is funny, caring and understands the disease of obesity. His office staff (at North Florida Surgeons) leaves a little to be desired in attitude but they get the job done. I've heard nothing but good about him, everyone at the hospital says he's wonderful so that's good enough for me. I will say this - the Laproscopic Weight Loss Surgery Center staff in Jacksonville, Fl is tops - they are all sweet, caring and hardworking folks - Look 'em up!rnrnAfter Surgery - Dr. Webb is WONDERFUL! He's caring, knowledgable and patient. I would recommend him to anyone who has to have any type of laparscopic surgery!

My first impression was great, I would say he should be called DR. SAFETY, he explains everything very well. I had checked him out previously from the state website to determine if he had any complaints or any unsatisfied complaints and he had none.rnThe office staff is a 10. More than helpful and there to answer any questions.rnThe after care process will work excellent. He doesn't just leave you standing. Follow up and office staff will continue to help lifetime.rnI have nothing negative to say about anything.
