Dr. Wagner has an awesome staff. They were very helpful in helping me make sure my supervised diet activities were documented properly. I give them all the credit for ensuring that the insurance approval process went smoothly. Only one submission and the approval was back in a week.rnrnMy surgery went so smoothly and no complications. I give Dr. Wagner the credit. I was out shopping on the third day after surgery.

Just wanted everyone to know I had my surgery and it was a success so far, I had some issues in the beginning with the heartburn and acid reflux , but now today I'm doing good and eating healthy and loosing weight, I can't express how great I feel , being able to walk up the stairs and not have to stop to take a breath from being winded.. I still have a long way to go , but I can say I love my sleeve now

I went to one of Dr. Wagner's informational seminars, back in July. I thought he was very professional, not at all arrogant, and he seemed to genuinely care about helping obese people to become healthier. After I met his office staff, I felt I was in very good hands. Many have said that Dr. Wagner is short on bedside manner, and it is true that he isn't one for small talk. However, he is not at all rude or condescending. He is just efficient. He is an excellent surgeon, very thorough, and bottom line, that's what counts. His staff is kind and professional and seem to really enjoy their jobs. Sarah truly believes that Dr. Wagner is the best there is, and I trusted her opinion enough to trust my life to him. I'm very glad I did.

Dr. Van Wagner is a quiet, to the point kind of Dr. He is very polite, but tends to come off as a bit cold. I think I will get to know Dr. Wagner better after surgery since I will see him more as I continue with after care and adjustments. I think the office staff is WONDERFUL!!! All of them are great. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They have always been there to answer my questions, deal with me and my impatientness with the insurance approval process and they did everything possible to get my surgery scheduled as quick as possible. I really like the fact that Dr. Wagner is the only Dr in his practice and I know I will always see him, not a tech or another Dr. Although he is the only Dr, when I went for my consultation appointment, the office was full of people waiting for fills, so he must have a large client base. From what I know so far, I think he puts a large emphasis on aftercare. He requests that gastric band patients see him once per month for the first year, then on a need be basis for after care after the first year. Dr. Wagner addressed the risks of surgery in depth at the initial seminar. I think he puts the issues/risks out there pretty bluntly. So far, I have been very happy with Dr. Wagner and his staff. I look forward to a continued relationship with them.

I met with Dr. Wagner this week and found him to be professional and knowledgeable and friendley. He answered all of my questions and his office staff were wonderful. The clinic is old and in a rather deserted building, But don't let that fool you. The care is top notch!!

MY FIRST IMPRESSION WAS HE WAS A NICE MAN, HIS STAFF HAS BEEN GREAT. I HAVE CALLED WITH MANY DUMB QUESTIONS. AND THEY HAD THE RIGHT ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING, I HAVE SEEN DR. WAGNER A COUPLE OF TIMES AND I AM STILL IMPRESSED. HE IS VERY PROFFESIONAL. HE IS A GREAT SURGEON AND I AM GLAD THAT I HAD HIM DO MY SURGERY.

I went to his seminar he was recommended by my regular doctor. Then I scheduled an appointment and we went work on my approval he asked me a ton of history questions and met my husband and I didn't see him again till my surgery date. He didn't recognize us at all which kind of bothered me but at the same time he had no reason to see me till the surgery date and I can't expect him to remember me when he probably see 50 people a week. Surgery was on 7/28/08 and I will see him again on 8/5/08. His staff was great they made sure all the paper work was complete and filed it all spoke with insurance and called several times to make sure I was ok. So overall I would give them a 8-10 depending on the situation.

I found out about Dr. Wagner by researching WLS on the internet. I went to one of his informational seminars and then followed up with a consultation appt. Dr. Wagner was a bit quiet, but offered input and answered all of my questions. While deciding if surgery was the best choice for me, his office staff was very supportive and assisted me with many answers to my many questions.rnrnMy surgery went very well, and I only had to spend one night in the hospital. My recovery has been smooth.

Terrific doctor....no small talk with him. He is strictly business, but he also has a genuine concern for his patients. If you are looking for a very skilled doctor with a lot of experience in the St. Louis area, he is the one to choose.
