Adirondack Medical Center Hospital
I had some difficult moments one evening when my morphine pump went wacko, my tubes etc. got all twisted, and I was in a very painful position. My day nurses were all small and young, but thank God, a hulking male nurse walked into my room at that call. He had me straightened out in no time. There were a few other small issues, but compared to what people who stayed in my other regional hospitals, my stay at Adirondack Medical Center was like a three day visit to a health spa.
AMC was my home away from home for several months after my Gastric Bypass. The staff was EXCELLENT...They were all so accomodating. They not only pampered me during my stay but my Pekingese, SUKI, and my English Bulldog, MATILDA got spoiled with treats and visiting other patients. I want to send out many thanks to you all.

The admitting process was great. The nurse really eased my fears and I was ready to have the surgery. I was completly satisfied with my Doctor. But I felt my after care was a little shabby and I felt the nurses were not in control of the situation. Also I would wait for about 20 minutes for anyone to answer my call bell when i needed something. When you are in a hospital you are supposed to have complete faith in your nurses and I felt like I had to fend for my self. Their was a few nurses who were great though and I appreciate all they did for me.
