Great location. Excellent care. If I ever have any other type of surgery, I would want to be at Shelby.

I had a very positive experience at Shelby Baptist. I had great nurses, excellent care, and a fantastic doctor.
If I had to do everything all over again, I would choose the same doctor and the same hospital.

My overall stay was tough because of surgery, however I feel that many of the nurses could have been more attentive and caring. There were a few good ones, but more that didn't seem to care. The orderlies were very good to me. My stay was not bad, but could have been better.

I believe I have summed my thoughts up by my above statements. I loved the nursing staff. They were fabulous. Very, very, very friendly people.

The hospital was VERY dirty. I didn't think that was possible in a hospital. Many of the nurses were rude, (especially the night staff)!

I would recommend this hospital to anyone. I had no problems with anything whatsoever! The nurses were awesome and took very good care of me! They were quick to respond when I called.

It is VERY hot in this hospital, I would reccomend to everyone to bring a fan. Make sure to keep an eye on your IV, nurses don't check on it, mine backed up with blood and my husband had to tell them 3 times to get in there to clear it because I was in severe pain. Hallways are very narrow and boxes were packed on either side, coming to my room from post-op my gurney was slammed against the wall several times (OUCH)! Nurses gave me straight apple juice on second day, said it was ok, come to find out that is what caused my diarreah and stomach pains. Make sure you water it down!!! I would just highly reccomend that anyone going to this hospital, Keep an eye on yourself! This review only pertains to the hospital and the staff I encounterd while I was there. My surgean was great and did an excellent job!!
