I am a month post-op from an extended abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and extended mastopexy (breast lift, no augmentation) with Dr. Forman. He was one of four plastic surgeons in the DC area that I met with to adjust my skin after losing half my body weight. He was far and away my top choice among the surgeons because of his professionalism, skill and openness to answer all of my questions. Both before and after surgery, he and his staff have always responded quickly and professionally to my concerns and fears. I feel well cared for on every level.

I also really appreciate Dr. Forman's honesty and experience related to how to best adjust my multi-layered needs after losing so much weight. After 30 years of stretching my skin and muscles out of shape, Dr. Forman explained what he could do and what may not be possible considering the amount of extra skin that I had and the loss of skin elasticity with age. His goal was to improve my contours, remove the excess skin and tighten my abdominal muscles. I had hoped to have more areas of my body "fixed" in one surgery to save time. He explained that the more areas my body had to heal at once, the more likely it was to have complications. I decided to trust his experience and I am so glad that I did. Only 4 weeks after surgery, the results are already amazing. My breasts are wonderful and no longer sag. While I still have some lower abdominal swelling, which is normal, my muscles are tight, the 2+ pounds of extra belly skin is gone and I have a small waist. Dr. Forman's incisions are beautiful and healing flawlessly and he was even able to fix other scarred incisions from past surgeries!

Finally, I only have praise for all of his office staff and his team at the Sibley Hospital OR. They have made the experience easy from pre-op and financial planning to smooth recovery from a long surgery to gentle reassurance from his nurses and assistants. I am so glad that I chose to have surgery with Dr. Forman and plan to have another surgery with him in the future.

I am SO extremely thankful to have been referred to Dr. Forman, because he has completely changed my life. Back in 2007, I had undergone the Lap-Band procedure after years of trying (and failing) to lose weight. About 5 years later, I found myself left with over 100 lbs of weight lost, and a whole bunch of loose, sagging skin that served as a constant reminder of how big I had once been. After speaking with my now bariatric doctor, Dr. Barry Greene, whom was not my bariatric surgeon at the time of my banding, he unhesitatingly told me about Dr. Forman and assured me if I was certain about having plastic surgery done, Dr. Forman was THE go-to guy. And boy, was he right!

Not only is Dr. Forman absolutely amazing at what he does, but he is honestly the most compassionate, benevolent and empathetic doctor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is right to the point yet delicate, he listens patiently to every concern or thought of yours and always delivers an effective solution. From my very first consultation with him, I felt 100% comfortable and it was immediately evident how genuine his efforts were- he truly wanted to help me for ME; so I could live the best life possible, not just so he could earn a few brownie points. He and his staff (who really deserve a review of their own!!) are beyond accommodating. Every single staff member is super sweet and so helpful, I LOVE all of them!

It has been almost a year since I have been seeing Dr. Forman. I have had breast augmentation, abdominoplasty and medial thighplasty, each of which exceeded my highest expectation. My breasts look so natural, my tummy is flat with a better belly button then I had before, and my legs perfectly fit my body. Being only 20 years old, my biggest concern with having all the procedures done was the scarring. Dr. Forman was upfront and honest about exactly where they would be and what they would look like. He did everything he could to give me as minimal scars as possible because I am so young and have my whole life ahead of me. He was so sensitive to the fact that I was so concerned with what the scars would consist of, he comforted me, assured me, and gave me his word he wouldn't let me down--and he really delivered, they are all perfect!!

There are no words that can even begin to express how happy I really am, all thanks to Dr. Forman. He has given me my life and the body I have always dreamed of having. There is no other plastic surgeon I would recommend but Dr. Forman, he is a true artist in his work. You will NOT regret seeing him and I guarantee he WILL change your life!!! :D

Dr. Forman AND his staff are amazing - I cannot stress this enough, so many offices have staff that are rude, make you feel uncomfortable or like you are intruding on their personal time - none of this is true of Dr. Forman's staff.

I was referred to Dr. Forman by Dr. Barry Greene who became my bariatic surgeon after Dr. Pinnar left the area. I had lost 106 lbs and was struggling to see myself the way I felt - I was running, boxing, lifting weights and felt great but was so upset about my midsection and arms. Dr. Forman was understanding and went right into making a plan of action for my loose skin. Within 2 weeks I was scheduled for surgery and had my insurance actually approve a large percentage of coverage (thanks to Gilit in the offices diligence in phone calls and follow up). 5 weeks after my consult I was in the OR for 5.5 hrs of surgery for an extended abdominoplasty and limited brachioplasty - and everything was a total success!!!! My mom met Dr. Forman that morning and loved him and his staff as well. He was able to remove 5 lbs of skin and fat and I have a FLAT stomach for the first time ever and the CUTEST and BEST belly button a girl could want!

Being that my insurance covered a portion I was not allowed on the cosmetic floor of my hospital, Dr. Forman made sure my mom stayed with me and knew all the vital aspects of my stay - he was back bright and early on Saturday morning to discharge me and I continue to see him for follw-up visits. I am currently 6 weeks out of surgery and had some fluid build up in my arms after flying and Dr. Forman has been wonderful seeing me at athe drop of a hat and accomodating my hectic schedule.

Dr. Forman is LIFESAVER!!!! I would refer anyone to him and will definitely be back for a breast lift after children --- my favorite doctor by far since losing weight!!!

SAVED MY LIFE and GAVE ME A NEW LIFE! Dr. Forman's care and understanding of the obese body, the obese patient, and the goals of surgery in these patients is beyond any doctor that I have met before. I had the first half of the gastric bypass (stomach reduction) done in 2000. I had lost 100lbs, but was still hovering at 300 almost ten years later.

I was unable to effectively exercise due to the apron of skin that filled almost my entire lap when I sat down. I came here looking for a surgeon to meet for a consultation on a body lift.

Initially, I read Dr. Forman's reviews right here on this site, then went to see him to find out what my options were. He was fantastic! Together we determined that starting with a panniculectomy would be the best course of action for me so I could be physically more active without that apron sitting on my lap plus I would be more comfortable in my body. I was surprised at how reasonable the price was to be able to get my life back and have this apron removed from the front of me. I paid for my surgery out of pocket.

In surgery he removed just over 20lbs from my abdomen. Due to my years of smoking (I only quit 3 weeks before surgery), and not moving enough right after surgery (need to get the heart pumping to get the blood to the center of your body for healing) I had healing complications. Again - to stress, none of the complications were due to Dr. Forman's technique or care - it was due to my poor health choices prior to, and just after surgery. Dr. Forman saw me almost every week for a few months, and then every other week from April 10, 2009 through August of 2009 without any additional office visit fees. He was amazing! Constantly checking with me about my pain medicine, teaching me and my husband techniques for cleaning the would that significantly helped in the healing. I healed up so nicely with his care there is barely any indication that I had any complications. My scar is so light 1 year later you have to really look to see the incision line. His technique with the abdomen tightening helped reshape my entire torso and even reduced the appearance of my "back fat". I recently saw a "The Drs" episode where they overviewed the exact technique that Dr. Forman used in my surgery a year ago as "ground breaking" new techniques to help flatten the abdomen muscles. There hasn't been a visit that I have had to his office where I haven't been impressed by his knowledge or care of his patients.

Having been morbidly obese since elementary school I have never been a physically active person - until now. I now swim, I take walks, I set up a mini gym in my basement, I started on the treadmill doing 30 minute miles in April 2010, and just last week in the middle of July 2010 I finished my first 5k, without stopping in 60:33. That is faster than a 20 minute mile! I have lost 43lbs (303 to 260), and 12.5 inches and most importantly - I feel AMAZING.

Having the stomach reduction (Hazem A. Elariny M.D in Vienna, VA) and the panniculectomy with Dr. Douglas Forman totally worked for me! Schedule a FREE consultation with Dr. Forman. You won't regret it. =)

I was amazed how thoroughly Dr. Forman answered my many questions, and how he really listened closely to and addressed my concerns. A friend who had bariatric sugery, and then plastic surgery to remove excess skin referred me to Dr. Forman. She had lost 150-175 pounds, and the results from her plastic surgery were nothing short of phenominal. I am so, so happy that I went to Dr. Forman. Everyone in the practice was fanstastic; from pre-op to post-op care. His consultations are free of charge, and you'd never regret working with him or his team! It's changed my life in ways I never imagined and I have a hard time properly expressing the happiness I feel.

Douglas Forman is an excellent surgery with great experience in the plastic surgery treatment of post baratric patients. I have had a total lower body lift (also called a circumfrential body lift), breast lift. and breast augmentation. He is extremely friendly, sensitive to the weight loss patient, as well as enormously talented. I have had a history of keloid scarring and was worried that this would occur again. To my delight, this has not happened despite the extreme numbers of stitches. Though the procedures were painful, he was always sensitive and did everything he could to diminish my pain level. My recoveries were well watched by both the nurse and the doctor. I have been amazed how quickly I have been seen when I arrived at the office and attribute this to the highly professional and friendly staff.

Dr. Forman is an extremely competent plastic surgeon who has successfully performed body contouring procedures for WLS patients, as well as others who have lost a substantial amount of weight. He makes you feel comfortable immediately upon meeting him and continuously encourages you to ask as many questions as possible. He is also very cautious and will not perform too many procedures than is safe at once. His office staff is also excellent, especially his nurses.

Dr. Forman is extremely detail-oriented, and very cautious in his approach to the relatively larger-scale plastic surgery needs of the post-op WLS patient. He wants to make certain that his patients understand the limits of the surgery they're seeking, and he won't take on more surgery in a single session than he believes is safe, or risk an unsatisfactory outcome. He is very strong in his patient follow-up course. His office staff is the tops, especially his office nurse, Lisa.
