Hi everyone I just wanted to chime back in and see how everyone is doing?? I went into the ER thursday 2/9 and friday nite had my gallbladder taken out.....Dr says Im record time. It was all full of slug and wasnt working properly...I was more nervous for that one then WLS-lol came home on Saturday and I have been too out of it for anything. Didnt eat or drink for a week loaded up on medicines...was not myself!!! Poor hubby and kids. If it wasnt for my babysitter(which is also my best friend) I dont think i would of come out of it. Well I am slowly starting to eat and getting lots of liquids in me and I started taking the B-12 yesterday and today I feel almost normal(is that even possible) Funny I went back to work for 3 days and have been out since.....ill try again on Monday. Nothing else can go wrong....right?? I have lurked around and everyone seems to be doing great!!!!! Just wanted to come and say hi and i promise that I will get 150% better and post more often!!! Tina, So glad to hear that you're doing better! I had my gallbladder removed a few years ago... emergency surgery after they discovered I had a 3cm gallstone stuck in the "neck" of my gallbladder! Wow! 2 surgeries in just a matter of weeks for you! You are quite the survivor! Take Care! ~Teri~

Tina, I'm curious, what are the symptoms that you had that made you go to the ER. How does someone know if they may be experiencing gallbladder problems. Just for our own info. Thanks for sharing and I'm very happy that all is well so far for you and that you are on the healing path. Emily

Thanks everyone, Tiffany~no I wasnt taking the actigal...what is it?? I was having pains in my right side and having sharp pains when I took a deep breath in...it would get worse as I moved around....sick to my stomach....I was not myself!!! Felt crappy I called hubby and he came home to take me to the ER. Sad thing is I sat there for 4 hrs and I had a CT scan scheduled for 1pm-lol hospitals gotta love them. These past 2 days have been better.....besides this morning sick to my stomach....i just have to have faith. Take care, Tina

Glad you're feeling better, what an adventure. Actigall is a med that reduces the build up of bile in the gallbladder. Its supposedly very common to give WLS patients, I started mine a week out. Fast weight loss leads to bile build up and if not treated, it results in the gb coming out or worse yet, exploading in the individual. I friend has this happen to her and was in the hosp for a week as they had to suck out the bile from her abdomen. In a post I read that its also given to prevent stomach ulcers but that's not something my surgeon mentioned. Feel better! Tiffany
