Hey - thank you! Congrats to you as well. I go for preadmission testing on March 12. What kind of pretesting did you get? Is your insurance paying the the TT? They won't cover the thigh lift though will they? Make sure and take pics and I will too!!!
Oh yes, a breast lift is needed badly!

Belle - wow 5 lbs from your TT? Do they weigh it, do you think? I hope so, I'm hoping to lose between 3-5 lbs after mine and then I'm good. lol! Love your new avatar! Gorgeous!

Thanks!!!!! We have BCBS of Michigan and their requirements for a tummy tuck aren't as strict as some of the other insurance companies. They require a 100 lb weight loss, documentation from your PCP stating that your rash on the tummy is not going away from treatment ( I had to see my PCP once a month for 3 months) My PCP forwarded my info to the PS and they called the same day to say I could go ahead and schedule surgery. BCBS doesn't even need to preapprove this, the PS just needs to make sure he has the required documents on file in case they were audited. It was very easy to get approved.
I'm really blessed, my dh's company recently switched health insurance co's from Aetna to BCBS (beginning of this year) I hear that Aetna is very strict and rarely approve TT. I'll be paying for my breastlift though. I can't wait!!
Yes, I have before pics and ugh they are gross!!!! lol! I'll take after pics for sure!
Thanks again.

Well, I am not complaining, BUT... I keep inching downward and I really want to figure out how to stay put at a weight. I will probably lose 5 or more pounds after my TT next month and I really don't want to go below 155, so this is an interesting problem to have!

Congrats on the surgery date!!! We will probably be going under the knife the same week! (TT and thigh lift is my hope... final consult Tuesday to make the plan and set the final date.) Ain't is awesome?!
I did not know you were doing the BL also.

Steph-
I am more in Holly's range... about 1800-2000 calories a day. I am still losing slowly, although I am really trying more to maintain and not lose anymore. I know I would be STARVING at 1200 calories! Especially the way you exercise! I woud say that you should listen to your body and if you feel happy and satisfied at 1500, then stick with it.

Hi Marilyn -
I hope it will be as easy as my bypass. My bypass was a breeze, had hardly any pain and recovered w/in a week. My doctor told that this would be more painful, because they are removing something from my body.
I hope that it will not be as painful recovery as he said. But - in the end it will be worth it, since it is annoying to have this almost constant dull pain in my side.
thanks -

Hi Holly -
I believe it will be laporoscopically done, unless I have a really bad attack b/4 i can get in to surgery. I have an appt. w/ the surgeon on monday, but will probably have the surgery done in April - he's booked solid. it is the same surgeon who did my bypass - which is actually comforting... hopefully he checked everything out while he's in there.
thanks -

Holly,
Are you all better from your bout of respiratory problems?--I hate to just call it congestion because that makes it just sound like sniffles.
If we stick with what we are supposed to, we will get back below the lowest weights really soon.
Have I told you lately that you look great?--Well, consider yourself told!
Hugs,
Katy

Lindy,
You look great! You are probably at your perfect weight for you. I am sorry you had that stomach bout. Boy that and nasty sounding coughs are going around. I find myself using hand gel galore.
I was talking with someone recently and she told me that she thought a friend of ours had lost too much weight. I said, "Really?...I think she looks great!" Then the woman said, "Well, maybe it is just that the change is so drastic." I think she probably hit the nail on the head with that statement. The change is so drastic that people overeact. I wear a size 16 and I have people already asking me exactly how much more I am planning too lose and expressing concern that I will go to far. Give me a break.
I do know that I don't see what I really look like. So I had decided before I ever had surgery that I would let my doctor and my hubby be the ones that I trust to tell me where I should maintain. The doctor is unbiased and I don't want the hubby to worry. I have made up my mind to care less what anyone else thinks and am going to assume that any negative reactions are someone else's personal issues or the weight loss is simply so dramatic that I look smaller to them than I am.
Again, I think you look great. Hey, when you do get PG, I bet those same people look at your PG bulge and tell you that you are getting fat and ask if the surgery didn't work for you! LOL People....can't live with them, can't lock them away where they can do no damage.
Hugs,
Katy
