Topic: RE: Update on me after Endoscopy & CT scan
I had the same thing happen a couple of months ago. I had to go back for additional films not once, but twice. It came back perfectly normal with the more detailed scans. I was shown my previous scans and films, with the circled suspect areas. Then, I was shown the new films and could see the compared areas. Don't even worry about it yet...I have heard that nearly half of all mammos need more detailed films taken to rule out preliminary "problems" seen in the first baseline film. ~Suz

My tailbone and pelvic bones in general are killing me, too! We just sat at a wrestling tournament for 12 hours today...not good for the butt! I haven't found any way to relieve the discomfort except to walk around periodically. We have stadium chairs, extra pads, and a fleece blanket that I sit on...but here I sit with a bruised butt. Well, really I have no butt...again...never really had one until I gained over 100 pounds...I guess those pounds were actually worth something . As for the bath...it kills me to sit there. I have started folding a small hand towel and putting it on the bottom of the tub to sit on. It really seems to help....I can now relax in peace ...at least for a few minutes until people start banging on the door. ~Suz

I LOVE those Kashi bars! They are my fave! And, I am one of those that can eat only one bar and come back to the second later! Then again, I am trying to gain some weight back, so I squeeze in the second one at the first feeding when I can. We use that Alpine mix, too...but what I am really addicted to is Oregon Chai, Sf mix....yummy! I can't get enough...but it's not calorie free so I try to cut into the amounts I drink by using Celestial Seasonings chai tea bags for some of my cups of tea each day, which are calorie free even with Splenda added. I do add soy to all of them though, so some calories there...but it adds some good protein. Other than that, a square or two of bittersweet chocolate is on my menu every day. It keeps me sane . ~Suz

Topic: Tailbone- LINDY!!!
Lindy - help- or anyone else who may have this problem... what are you doing about your tailbone hurting? I sit on a pillow at my computer at home... but was at a board meeting and then another meeting in the public and it really starts to hurt... what do you do get up in the middle of the meeting and walk around? Sometimes it even hurts in the bathtub- which used to be my read and relax time- not very often but... I have NO butt anymore- maybe I should try and get those padded bike shorts- it would soften AND give me nice butt in pants!!! Seriously- what are you doing? Thanks- Holly

Thought I'd list a few of my current favorite things... not the best for you but totally help me when I'm craving things I shouldn't- so I guess better substitutions... 1- Ka****LC crunchy pumpkin spice flax granola bars- aewesome- BUT 180 calories for 2 bars- so either needs to be a meal replacement or you're one of those special individuals that can eat half a pack now and the other half later... fat-6, carb-26, protein-6 They do make some other flavors- but they are the chewy ones and I don't like those as well- always have an artificial taste to me... 2- Alpine spiced cidar packets SF- add ho****er 15 cal, 4 carbs I add a cinammon stick to make me feel special- helps get my fluids in... 3- When you HAVE to have cake... Betty Crocker Warm Delights Minis choc molten... 150 cal per bowl- add 1T and 1t of water stir- 30 seconds in microwave and there's your craving gone- 150 cal, 4.5 fat, 25 carbs comes in a rasp and carmel flavor too 4- Special K Bliss Raspberry 90 cal, 2 fat, 17 carbs... now I'm a choc rasp fan and these ROCK!!!- comes in orange too which sounds gross to me... FYI... Brit

Topic: Goal & Reality Check
So, I reached my pre-surgery goal of 164 pounds/BMI of 24 this week, and that was awesome... especially since I am not really trying to lose anymore! Nice, new problem to have! I am now counting down the 5 weeks to my tummy tuck and I am so looking forward to being rid of my panice! Yeah! So, I also got some email yesterday that really shocked me. My dietician emailed me my pre-op pictures and my 1 year pictures. I took my own pics of course, but for some reason these completely floored me. I posted them if anyone wants to check them out. I cannot even relate to being that big. It amazes me. I never felt like I was that fat. I cannot believe I was that obese and I really never realized it. UHG! I might print one and stick on the fridge as a constant reminder that I did it once and not to let it happen again! Talk about living in a state of denial... WOW!
