Topic: RE: How do you treat your colds now???
Steph- I have a horrible cold right now. My first one since surgery, too, I think. serves me right for bragging recently about how good my health has been!!! Anyway, I take the Dayquil/Nyquil gel caps and just regular sudafed caplets. I have heard that we are supposed to take the liquid, but just cannot do it. All three seem to do the job for me. Hope you feel better soon! Belle

Anna- I don't know if I told you that I did 2 consults. The first surgeon I just did not feel right with, so I went to someone else who I loved. I think you will know if you feel comfortable or not. It is so exciting! Cannot wait to hear how it goes next month! Belle

Topic: RE: Update on me after Endoscopy & CT scan
Oh wow Lori, you have been through so much and have such a positive outlook even after all of this stuff going on. For some reason I though I read in one of your other messages that they weren't sure if it was cancer or not, but now they know for sure? I was praying that it wasn't. Now we just have to pray that w/ the hysterectomy that it will be gone forever. And wow about your pouch. Good luck and keep us posted. You are in my prayers. ***HUGS***

Lori, I will definitely continue to pray! I know it seems like the experts should know and figure out what is going on more easily, after all they are the experts. But, our bodies are so complex and have ways of healing and dealing with these internal issues that I think not even the experts can understand sometimes. Fortunately for us, we know the Great Physician and can trust that He know us in every detail, down to the number of hairs on our head. Psalm 139:13 - 14 (New International Version) 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Stay strong Sister! You will have a stronger testimony when all has come to pass! Psalm 103:3-4 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, *****deems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, Jeremiah 30:17 "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the LORD.

Awesome story. They did well with the coverage! Congratulations to you both! I know my husband can't stop bragging about me. I get so embarrassed some times, but he is a sweet heart!

Topic: Update on me after Endoscopy & CT scan
Hi everyone Just wanted to update all my buddies on my recent tests. I had my endoscopy yesterday and we found a few things out. Long story short, many of you can read my blogs dating back to last July and see/ read about my stomach issues...It appears we are getting down to the final stages of diagnosing them. We have no reason to believe at this point that my tummy issues are in any way related to the cervical cancer I have been diagnosed with, but the biopsy should confirm that. It's amazing that my WLS surgeon and his preferred gastro. that I visited were not able to find/ correct these issues last year when they began, but that's a whole nother story that I won't discuss on this forum! What they found yesterday... a staple left in from the gastric bypass at the EG junction half way hanging out of the interior wall of my stomach/bowel connection (got pictures and all) and the gastro says that the pouch portion that was left of my stomach is the smallest he has ever seen...basically stating that my food is not being digested, but rather is moving straight from my esophagus to my bowels. He will wait to confirm results of the CT scan to determine how to proceed. He also saw what are called "esophageal varices" which is a varicose type vein in the esophagus pointing to possibly a liver issue as well. My liver panels in my blood have always been skewed but in the 10 years I have had this issue no one has been able to pin point a specific liver issue, so we'll see where that leads as well. SOOOOO right now this is what I know...follow up with my gastro this next week on the results of the endo & CT scan and decide how to proceed with that issue. Next Friday 2/15 I go in for a cone biopsy to determine if the cervical cancer is invasive. If it's not invasive we will schedule a hysterectomy for the following week or possibly the next. I will update in a couple of weeks for those of you who have been asking. Please continue to pray!!! Lori
