Oh Lori, what an answer to prayers if it isn't cancer. Gosh, that would be a huge relief. Still lifting you up in prayer hon. And Suz is right, gotta keep your energy and eat and not lose more weight. Can you believe someone is telling you that? Last year you would have laughed huh? Take care and keep us posted. ****HUGS*****

Hey Stacey - glad you're doing better! I would try not to get offended (although I've been told that and I am not sure if I like it or not!) I honestly think people are so used to seeing us heavy, we lose all this weight and it's a shock to thme!!
You've done a fantastic job!!

Hey all!
Sounds like we are all testing the waters a little bit. Scary huh? As long as we remember everything in moderation! Yesterday was the first time I ate a sandwich as well (well we had subs for the Super Bowl Party) and they were cut into bitesize sandwiches, and I ate one! It's scary and I will be monitoring my weight very closely. I think that's why I was able to lose at a decent pace, I stayed away from carbs like they were the enemy. SO, we'll see.
Hope Stephanie is having the time of her life there!!!
Nothng new for me

I am also guilty of not posting here very often since I have reached a comfortable weight, but I do still read it. The big thing for me is it is usually Tuesday before I get to it and is seems too late to post then!

Goal is 164, but TT in March should take care of that and then some! I would like to settle around 160, but cannot get worked up about it. I am still on a "new boob" high from the lift, so I feel pretty dang good about myself!
GOALS: I need to work out at least 3 times a week and I need to cut WAY down on the carbs. I have been eating sandwiches again... with 2 slices of bread (no crust). That is a new thing for me. I have never eaten an whole sandwich since surgery. A little worrisome... I also ate a piece of pizza and ate the whole crust. OH! And I have been having cereal with milk. I am tollerating too many yummy carbs that I have not tollerated since surgery. Hmmm... Makes me nervous. I guess this is another good reason to keep weighing in and posting every week!

Topic: RE: One Year!!!
Hi there! Happy One Year!!! It sounds to me that you are doing wonderful!!! You should be very proud, you have come SOOOO far from where you were last year. Everyone loses at their own rate, so try not to compare yourself to others. I can totally relate though, I do that all of the time. We have been given a wonderful tool and just need to continue using it and not get off track. And when we do, get up & get right back on that horse!! You've done awesome!
Topic: RE: Where is the website??
sorry I can't help ya Danielle, but if you find out let us know!!! How have you been?

Alright Lori...you need to do your best to get that weight back up...gotta keep up your strength and health! That's an order! LOL
I do hope that the resection and hysterectomy will resolve all of your issues...at least it seems that there is a good plan in place. That must be a relief to you and your husband to know that your doctors have thought this out. I do wish you the very best at the end of this...you deserve to be healthy and happy!

Thanks so much for posting this week Beth. We all still need accountability no matter how far out we get
I have lost wayy too much weight this week. Unfortuantly the stress of everything has caused my tummy to stay upset and I've lost weight that I would prefer I hadn't this week.

It's been a wild ride. As many of you know I was sick last summer with a small bowel obstruction. The issues have continued since, but according to my WLS surgeon are common and nothing to worry about. With the news this last week that I have a rare form of cervical cancer, which is more common to gladular areas-such as the bowels or lungs, my GYN has requested that we do a little more research on the obstruction and has sent me to another Gastro. who he believes will get to the bottom of the issue. I met with the gastro last week and although he doesn't believe the obstruction is cancer, he promises we'll get it resolved, but believes a bowel resection (i think that's what it's called) is required. If he does need to do that they'll do that with the hysterectomy. We still have a few more test required before we get to the hysterectomy, but things are really looking up. God is sustaining and carrying us through. Thank you all for your messages and prayers. My husband Dwight & I are so thankful to each of you for your support.
Love you guys
Lori

Maintaining.... I actually lost about 10lb being sick.. feeling alot better. Surgeon claims it was swelling from manipulation around my pouch from having a internal hernia. I couldnt eat for like a week.
Some people are telling me Im looking to skinny in the face. Should I be offended?
Im wearing a size 10 jeans... but their slightly baggy... Im in a M shirt. I think I was smaller bone than some realized actually. I had alot of FAT! LOL
Hope everyone is doing well!! I go back to work tommorow... Anxious for that!!
Have a good week everyone!!!
Stacey
