Topic: RE: Are we still doing Monday Morning Weigh In?
Good Monday Morning, Beth and my January Lovelies! This group seems to be getting smaller and smaller every week . As most of you know, I am trying to gain back up to about 145-150...but for some reason, over the weekend I somehow lost all that I had gained over the last two weeks. Weird...it seemed like all I did was graze and eat junk (still got protein in ). My husband said that I must be crazy because he hardly saw me eat anything, just nibbles here and there. It is really interesting how our perceptions change...I thought I was really making a pig of myself! Anyway, good or bad, here's my numbers for the week: Surgery/high: 251.5 Last Monday: 143.8 Today: 140.8 Loss/gain: - 2.0 So, I'm back where I started...it seems so easy to gain but really hard for me to keep it around. I am quite sure that in a few months that probably won't be a problem. I hope that all of you that are checking in have a great week! I will be busy again with my classes and MacKenzie's wrestling....I already can't wait until Spring break!! ~Suz

Hi Beth, I think we should continue as it will hold us all accountable for any gains and we can celebrate any loss for those of us still needing to lose. Well I did not do so well this week. Did not make good choices with my eating and missed two workout days, due to my car being in the shop. I only gained .2 lbs but it is still a gain. I find I am really fluctuating. So I need to settle down and realize how much work the rest is going to take. HW 270 SW 250 LW 145 TW 145.2 I'll do better this week. Oh and by the way here is a WOW moment. I went shopping for some black pants this weekend and realized the 8's are a little baggy so tried on some size 6 pants and jeans. Well they fit so you know I had to buy them and I am wearing the jeans today....woooooohooooo Anna

Merilyn, you are a success you have come a long way and have lost a lot of weight. You look fantastic too. I think all of the things you listed I need to revisit myself if I am to get down to my goal of 132. I am hanging in there at 145 and fluctuating between 142 and 145. I know I can do it I just have to concentrate. Really though did you ever think it possible to get into a size 8? Me either!! Congrats on doing so well your first year. Anna

I know it's been a year, but for those of you who would like to continue this...I'm certainly game. The first year we took it off, and this year is going to be a challenge continuing to lose (for some of us) and to keep it off (all of us!) That said - I had an up and down week. My weight seems to be fluctuating between 152 and 154. Today I am at 153. I would like to lose a few more pounds (up to 10) if possible - but if not...I'm find with where I'm at as long as I don't gain. Saw my doctor and she told me that I was eating too many carbs and not enough protein so that's my new challenge/goal. I've also attempted to add an extra day of working out to my week but so far I've failed with that task (i work late a lot and go to work super early - i know that's no excuse but...) Here are my stats: SW:272 CW:153 Have a great week everyone! Best, Beth

Stephanie, congratulations. You are my role model! I could NEVER be as good as you...but I aspire to be! You are truely an inspiration. I still snack and don't work out as much as you...but I continue to try and be better. Are we still doing our weekly weigh in? I hope so...I really need them to keep/stay on track. I saw my doctor and she said that this year I really need to work on keeping it off. I don't know if I'm going to lose any more weight...and if I don't that's not a big deal as long as i don't gain any. Best, Beth

OMG! I went to FOTW for about a year. What a coincidence. Let me guess... Seeing your picture I'm guessing your brother is the bald one (ok, well... they are all bald) but ummm...oh darnit what's his name?? I have to call my hubby and ask...

Thanks Marilyn! I love the way you worded that. What a goal--to be all that God designed me to be! You know that seems plausible to me now but over a year ago, I felt like I was hiding my light (like the kids song) because I felt that I wasn't an effective witness for Christ with my life. Who would want what I had? Now things have changed. I am constantly inviting people to church and just more warm and friendly toward people which allows me the opportunity to be genuinely concerned about their life. Some wls post ops complain about being treated differently. I love it because I know it is that the real me has been revealed and people are responding to the me that doesn't hide or want to be unseen but that reaches out to be connected. So that is my new goal for this next year: to be all HE designed me to be! What possibilities that opens!!!!!!! Wow!!!! Hugs and blessings, Katy

Topic: Where is the website??
I know that there is a website that several people have mentioned but I can not find the older post to recall it. I am looking for a website that you can enter a receipe including the amounts and number of servings and it will liste the nutrional information for you. I have found several receipes that sound good but I need to calculate and make some adjustments to a few of the ingredients.
