Topic: RE: Back at Work
So glad to hear you are doing good!! I had my RNY on 01/23/10 and today I feel GREAT!! I go back to work on Monday and not really looking forward to the smells of everyone else's food. My husband has been cooking dinner for the kids each night and it has smelled so GOOD...mind you the same food was cooked before surgery and I could have cared less what it smelled like.
Thanks for making me think about what pants to wear....hadn't even crossed my mind.
Keep up the good work!!!

Topic: Back at Work
I'm back at work. I feel pretty good, a little wiped out now that it's getting toward the end of the day.
The only issue I'm having is wearing 'work pants' and they're rubbing across some of my incisions as I sit here at my desk. Otherwise, it's all good!
(Oh, and the bag of Sun Chips that my co-worker just opened smell evil-ly delicious!)

Well last night I had a different smoothie with no Peanut Butter and I tolerated it fine. IDK???? I have the smoothies at 1/4-1/3 cup but usually don't finish a 1/3 cup!!! Congrats on moving to real food!!!
I can't do any jello or broth or popscicles anymore!!!!

I'm at the only jello, water and broth stage and am very anxious to move on! I ate lots of SF Jello just before surgery and loved it. I can not put that stuff in my mouth now, so it's water and broth for me. Oh, and SF popcicles.

Feeling great! Really no pain at all. Looking forward to exanding the variety of food choices; I like broth 'n all, but there comes a point when you look at it and say to yourself, "Seriously?"

Glad to hear it. I am about two weeks out and feeling great. My incisions are still a little tender, but otherwise I'm doing great. I was so happy when I was able to start sleeping normally in my bed at night instead on in the recliner. I hope you continue to feel better every day

Topic: RE: VSG Jan 11th
I had my surgery on the 18th. I have to say that I feel that I am blessed because I was expecting it to be worse then it was for me. I feel for everyone that is having a hard time with this. I was sleeping really well the first 2 nights home, but not so much now. I think my body is tensing up to protect my stomach and causing this. I hope it will pass soon along with the remainder of the puffiness in my tummy. I started walking (walk away the pounds video) yesterday and did a mile. I think maybe I should have started with 1/2 mile first. By the way, what is everyone eating?
Topic: RE: How long til the bloating goes away?
I had my surgery on the 18th and am just now noticing that the puffiness is starting to subside. I can't wait for it to go away either.

I just saw the surgeon today and was given the go ahead to eat real food
I just had some refried beans and they tasted delicious. I wonder why the smoothie didn't work for you? Did you keep it to about 1/4 cup?
