Okay guys so I am one week into my pre-op diet and one week away from joining the loser's bench! I am doing much better than I though I would be at this point! I am working my butt off (literally) and I am feeling great! The diet is still hard, especially since the protein shakes make me wanna puke, but I am hanging in there! I guess the diet is doing some good because yesterday I got my first menstrual cycle in 2 years! I never thought I would be excited about getting my period! I have lost close to 15 pounds and am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! I have to thank you all because a few days ago I was seriously questioning my decision while I was starving to death (or so I thought) and the only thing that kept me hanging in there was reading all of your posts and you encouraging words! So thank you all! And God Bless all of you hat have had your surgeries and I am praying for those of you in the hospital while I type this message! And to all you fellow 17ers: 8 days to go until we change our lives!!

Thank you! You have definitely been a great cheerleader for me and an inspiration with your story! How is your recovery going?

My recovery is getting better day after day. My strength starts to come back and I am able to get in the protein for the most part.I have a three week liquid diet I am on now and then I will go onto pureed foods for five weeks.I am however going to see my pcp tomorrow so he knows I am on oxygen and if I need any additional testing I will be finding out tomorrow.
But keep yourself focused keep doing what your doing and in the long run you will feel so much better and proud of yourself. It's worth it I promise you
