Okay Now I'm Scared

The reality has set in. I am now starting to get scared. I went to hospital today for pre-op. I went to visit my PCP too and he gave me some meds to help me sleep. I spend every night roaming the halls of my house. What is wrong with me? I want this, I really do but I am still getting scared

I'm wit ya on that! I have so much nervous energy right now, I'm online and not even packing! My dr. gave me vallium for Sun/Mon to help relax. Sorry I can't help ya here, just wanted you to know your not alone! I guess we're just afraid of the unknown. I saw 2 post-ops while at pre-op and they were doing great, sore, but able to walk the halls. It gave me some inspiration that I can do it to. You'll be fine, just keep thinking positive and how good you'll look and feel a few months from now! Take care, Wendy

You will get plenty of sleep next week. I did not sleep well before my surgery either. Just hang in there! Joy

I am not scared.. oddly enough! I guess I have prayed about this, and i am just at peace with my decision. Maybe its blind faith, maybe its blocking out the reality.. *LOL*.. Whatever it is.. I am glad I have it! I will be thinkin of you on Monday. I am tonight eating like a piggie!! After tomorrow.. clear liquids, and thank god I dont have to drink that awful phospo soda stuff.. *LOL*.. I was suffering the sleeplessness in silence. Then I was chatting with a friend who had this last June. She asked if I was having trouble sleeping yet.I was floored! I thought this was just a me thing but turns out NOT! She also told me to rest up in the hospital, "you're gonna be tired anyway from not sleeping well the last cupola weeks!"
