Oh Christina, I feel for you! Fortunately for me, I'll only be a liquid diet for about 24 hours prior to surgery. I get to have a full breakfast, full liquids for lunch, and clear liquids for dinner. The on Monday (surgery day), I can only have enough water to swallow my Nexium and Celexa (I don't have surgery until 2 PM!!!). So I hope to stay up reeeaaallly late Sunday so I can sleep late on Monday. But Tuesday will be here before you know it, and we'll be thinking of and praying for you. Hugs, -Marcie

Mine starts tomorrow....we have to pay the price I guess for uneventful, smooth surgeries with no complications...worth it, don't you think?

It's tough, but the ironic thing is that you WON'T BELIEVE how great an ice cube tastes post op!!! Just hang in there and try to stay busy with other things. You'll make it! Joy

I only had to do it for a day rather than two, so I feel for you. Let me tell you, it is a WHOLE lot easier to eat just that stuff after your surgery. But you are taking charge to insure a lower risk of complication, so pat yourself on the back. Distract yourself with as much fun stuff as possible, that's my motto. I bought spring lipstick, it's such an uplifting feeling.

My doctor doesn't put you on any type of liquid diet pre op, but I can't imagine eating anything heavy for the next 2 days. I think I will just eat light and drink drink drink lots of water......

I can relate. My doctor put me on the liquid diet the 8th of march. The first couple of days were the hardest. I am drinking more water. I try to limit the popsicles and jello to meal time so I have something to look forward to. chicken broth is my favorite. Good luck to you.
