PRo-Complex 55 grams of protein
My dr and nutrionist also say, we can only absorb 30 grams of protein at once...so anything over and above is just a waste. I'm really trying to get 2/day down, but he would really like us to get to 5 so we have anywhere from 90-120 grams/day minimum. I really like the Syntrax Nectars because their mixed with water and very light....the lemonade is the best!

The nutritionist at BTC says not to over-do on the protein. Its hard on your... kidneys or liver I think she said.. lol.. I cant remember which one. I get my 60 in a day, (most days).... with shrimp for lunch or a snack, tuna, and a protein bar. If i am really far behind, I will mix up a shake, however, I dont like them that much, and try to get the protein in other ways if possible!

but I just read a health report just a general nutrition thing that talked about protein and how too much really is hard on the kidneys and liver. That freaked me out. Im thinking man are we screwed!!!
Im sure its not as big a deal as I thought. I think if we ease that protein in throught the day taking in a little at a time then we should be alright...also gettin in tha****er always helps the kidneys and eat kidney friendly food as well then we should be alright.

no-you are not being too paranoid--we do have to be careful not to overdo it with the protein becuz of the kidneys--and you are right that flushing with our water helps--
i also am going by my guidelines from my btc nutritionist and my doc --they said for my height and sex ( being female!not whether or not i have sex)( sorry- felt the need for a disclaimer!) i should have 58 grams per day--i asked about having too much and was warned to be careful not to overdo---ok now i'm repeating myself--listen to your own doc and nutritionist, folks!
