2006 HERE WE COME!!!
Hi all,
2006 ready or not, I am ready Good-bye 2005, Don't want you around
here no more!!! Have been working on my attitude this week!! It is
much better! Just a little O.T.to follow:
GOT BOYFRIEND!!
I am in the market for a new boyfriend or Date would be nice for a nice
fun-loving, much smaller person, who needs a little love & understanding
for a change of pace. ( Will re-locate if necessary.) I am also throwing
the old boyfriend out for 2006. Very tired of a one-sided relationship.
I hope all have a great New years Eve & a wonderful New Year for 2006.
Love all the Marcher's & thank God for this board everyday. It has been
my only support in getting me through this year. Thanks again for being
there!!
Marilyn, the Bearlady

Way to go Sister!
Out with the old and in with the new!
Make your resoulutions and stand your ground knowing that we are all behind you and have a shared insight into your journey.
New Years wishes!

P.S. Happiness is having my 15 year old Emily say "Hey mom try my jeans on, they are a size 4 and would look so good on you" and they turn out to be too loose! (This was me at about 1pm this afternoon)
HI Christy,
Welcome to our board. I notice you are April, but close enough for us.
We always like new insights to our lively hood. Thanks for the vote of
confidence, I just hope I can really get rid of him. (You no how that goes)
You have done fantastic!! Keep up the great work.

Hello,
Thank you for the welcome. I am a dork......I am actually a March post op, I just seem to have a small numerical dyslexia problem.....My surgery date was March 8, 2004.
I lurk on the board quite often and when I read the post, I felt compelled to give Kudos to you.
A little updated info about myself and our family: Currently I am taking a year off of the BSN-RN nursing program while my hubby and I revamp our lives and priorities. My husband also left the nursing program to take on a different career. Nursing was not truly in his heart and he was very limited with his off beat perky/ funny personality. He was constantly comming up against prune faced Nursing Professors that wouuld tell him to lose the sense of humor, and in short he was quickly becomming a completely different person and was becomming increasingly unhappy.
So now he works 1000 miles away from home and is outside of the counrty working off shore. He works for an electrical engineering company and loves his new career. He makes about 3 times what he would make as a bachelors degreed RN and we are trying to pay off his 30,000 in student loans (John, like myself, was 2 semesters from completing his BSN/RN). He is very well liked by is co workers for his funny sense of humor and his techy skills. While the money is incredible the down side is that he is away for about 18 days at a time and then is only home for 5 days and then leaves again. If anyone had read my profile you will know that John and I are alomost joined at the hip and do almost everything together and it is to say the least difficult to have my best friend leave for so long.
I have our 4 kids by myself most of the time but that gives me more time to be a full time mommy to them and I have decided I may not go back to school until our 3 year old Jordan starts kindergarden. I dont like that I have given up much of his babyhood while I have been in school for the last 3 years.
Must run, Jordy bear just flooded the kitchen while trying to wash his hands in the sink......But then again the floor needed to be mopped anyways...

12 more days!
Hi Christy, I visited your profile, you have a beautiful family! And what a great relationship you describe with John! You both are so fortunate to have found each other. I wanted to comment also that you are one of the few people that describe the post-operative pain similiar to the way I felt; the pain was tremendous for me. I remember clearly saying to my husband, "What have I done?" I felt so butchered inside. We've all been through so much to be where we are today. I just wanted to say hello and thanks for your post. I hesitate to say happy New Year because it really is, "Happy New Life" for all of us! I'm not one to buy into the holidays - Christmas, New Year's - I would much rather we all practice what these holidays preach every day of the year, every day of our lives. Take good care, Maureen
Ah Marilyn......I think that your attitude is just fine!! You are headed in the right direction and I'll bet that 2006 holds good things for you.
Christy.....I'm glad that you are with us and hope to hear from you often. I notice that you have the same surgery date as Maureen and myself. It's hard to believe that it's been almost 2 years! Take care and please stay with us.
As for all of the rest of you "Marchers"......March on my friends.... and keep posting. 2006 is going to be a great year and if we all hang together, we'll all get where we are going.
HAPPY, HEALTHY, AND SAFE NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!!!!!!
Mike
