she had her normal bodily functions - can't think of a nice way to say poop! LOL isn't it amazing what alittle bit of babying, some meds and $400 vet bill can do?
anything that scares them. They have that belief that nothing will happen to them, it's
always the other guys. Will maybe this was an eye opener. You might get the car back,
but, the down side to that is it might not be in very good shape. Hope the insurance will
cover it!! Take care & hold her close & let her know how lucky she is to be alive today.
Hugs out to you!!

She didn't eat that night but seemed to be perky and happy to be back in her own place.
On thursday I wasn't feeling well so I took a sick day and stayed in. Charlie didnt eat breakfast and didn't have her usual morning business but seemed to be herself.
Later in the afternoon I heard her being sick. I went into the living room to find she'd vomited blood. Not alittle drop. I of course panic'd and called the emergency room vet. they had me bring her up.
they were not sure if it was a blockage or infection so she needed xrays and bloodwork and to stay with them.
She gave me that sad look that says mommy we just got home and your leaving me here in this strange smelling place with needles and thermometers!
i was so sad! i sat in the car and Cried. I didn't know what was wrong but i knew that it couldn't be good.
I called later and there was no blockage thank god but her tummy was sore. they had her on intravense because of dehydration and they kept her overnight. the blood work came back that she had some infection. $400.26 later she's on three perscriptions and rest. no getting all excited jumping around and shaking her rubber chicken.
charlie is an adorable pomerian if you know that type of dog then you already know that they have the sweetest face look like they know exactly what you are saying (like most dogs!) she is small only 7 pounds but lost weight being ill and is now tiny about 5 lbs now thats alot of weight for a tiny dog to lose in a short time.
the place she was at while i was away is a good place i do not think she got ill there.
today she isn't quite right but she did eat the specail 2 buck a can dog food even though she wanted my eggs. i said NO WAY until your better you will go with the diet the doctor gave you! Truthfully if the doc says this is her diet from now on then so be it.
I know you animal lovers out there understand how worried and upset i am.
i work for a newspaper selling advertising. one of my csuotmers was a small family owned pet store. one day i went in and while i was waiting for their ad i was looking at the puppies.
i'd recently moved back to CT after a messy divorce and dramatic move 3 states away. I had just moved into a tiny apartment. I'd been without the love of animals for a couple of years until i'd adopted a hymilan mix kitty - Lily the year before. I wasn't looking for another animal and I did not think that my landlord would let me have a dog.
Charlie was 3 months old and weighed 1.3 pounds. I had beannie babies who were bigger! We looked at each other and i said can i hold her? BIG mistake! They put her into my cupped hands she tilted her head up and licked my chin. ok i was sold she had to come home with me!
I called my landlord begging pleaseeeeeeee he was wonderful and said yes!
that was 9 years ago.
She was so tiny that one cold night i took her with me to my daughters house. i had her tucked into the top of my heavy winter coat. just her head poked out like some strange looking broche. I use to come home from work at lunch time 20 minutes away to take her outside and to feed her. the tiny puppies can get hypogloxcimia (just like mommy!!!) and go into shock very easy so she had to be reminded to eat.
Everyone Charlie meets she makes new friends. Even people who are not into animals love charlie. and if they don't then there is something wrong with them so they are not invited back again!
I know at her age and how fraigle she has always been that she might not be with me for to many more years. thats not a time that anyone will want to be around me!
That pet store went out of business right around the time I found out that she has a bad hip bad knee and problems with her throat. so the warrenty was nil and void. it didn't matter she was my baby!
A new pet store in my territory opened a few streets away. thats how I ended up with Paulie the wonderbird. thank god they did not sell baby elephants becuase my little condo does not have the space!
Fortuantely there are NO pet stores in my new territory!
