Sounds good....I just had some excellent strawberries and the sweetest cantalope Ive ever eaten today....it hit the spot!...they only bad part was I hated buying it cause I usually grow them myself but whaaaa no garden for me this year just havent had the time ...you should of seen the cantalope I grew last year I swear it was as big as a watermellon...I should of entered it in the county fair...but Noooo I had to eat it lol...it was goood!

Oh you guys, I just had my fruit salad - WOW! If someone put a plate full of Twinkies in front of me next to this fruit salad and said, "pick one" - I'd be all over that fruit! Just three species thrown together: cantaloupe, strawberries and blueberries. Is there anything better than a forkful of strawberries and blueberries together? And the cantaloupe practically melted in my mouth. Do yourselves a favor, run out to your favorite farmer's market, buy organic if possible, and throw some fruit together. Six years ago I never touched the stuff - but sure had my fill of Twinkies back then. Hallalujia! Have a super day, friends. Maureen

I'm going to start posting this daily - it will take my mind off of my small little bubble world of "what's eating me today?" Here's my menu, plus I will workout on my lunch hour; drink all my water; take all my vitamins; ride Laela after work - what does your day look like?

B:  Protein shake w/handful fruit, lite yogurt

S:  hard-boiled egg

L:  grilled hot dog, C. of spinach

S:  fruit salad

D:  Probably a frozen WW entree, or a small chef salad

Gosh, why do I keep calling your husband Steve?  I'm telling you, I think I've got early onset of Alzheimer's... Take it one day at a time, both of you - be good to yourselves and take care of each other. Try to carve out some simple joyful moments each day, snuggle in bed for a few extra minutes, have the kids jump up and join you! Back rubs, a cup of tea or coffee in the morning on the deck or patio - put on some great jazz or classical music for a half an hour, sit on the sofa together reading a book or magazine - simple pleasures. One day at a time, Kim. Relax, rest, heal... my strongest prayers for you and your family - and for BILL.  Take care, Maureen

Aw, Pam - I would never think you're trying to tell me what to do ... we all come from a good place here!   I appreciate your advice but I think I'm getting plenty of protein from solid food sources; for instance, in my salad yesterday, I had a hard-boiled egg and 2 slices of deli ham, so that's got to be another 20 grams of protein, on top of the 30 grams from the protein shake. Well, now that I'm looking at this, maybe I'm not getting enough in solid food protein.  I'll pay more attention to this, thanks! M.

the topic is curtisy of Paulie the wonder bird who is meowing down in the living room while i type.the neighbor kids walk past my windows and talk to him. i know this because he has added some new phases to his vocabulary. In a childs voice.
"hello bird"
"say hello to me bird"
"whats your name bird"
He also sounds like a small bike going up and down the sidewalk.
There is also a crow hanging around and I think Paulie talks to him. I do hear more crow sounds coming from that cage. I wonder what the outside crow is thinking?
Tonight I had to work alittle later. I so wanted to get home and get to walking after dinner but as I was eating it started to get darker and darker. I think we are going to get rain. I'm not against getting wet but i walk in a big field with trees even my street has tons of trees. My fear is to get hit by lightening or by a tree that has been hit by lightening. so what do i do but type on the computer!
So i have decided that i'm feeling much better and can get out to walk each night or to the gym. So. Its time. To join up with the gym cause the weather can not be trusted. Plus I'll have the benefits of other equipment.
Im ready.
I'm only waiting until I get the commission check.
Until then I will walk (weather permitting...)
you guys I'm depending on to remind me that its time!
Heres my plan.
I will have the payment this week but can't join cause i'll be away next week nd i want to get the most for my money. so i'll going up a week from this saturday. I will march right in there, stand up tall, and yell TAKE MY MONEY I WANT TO BE HEALTHY!
Today I also stood in front of the mirror and said Hello Pam! You are NOT 300 pounds anymore! Stop tellin gyourself you are fat! You are 20 pounds over weight and WILL lose that sensibily and healthily.
AND if it does not go away in a month you are NOT going to be stupid cause it didn't take a month to gain it it took a year!
SOOOOOOOO my other plan is to give myself a year to lose it before I go all spastic! A year seems like a good amouint of time to lose 20 pounds. I need to remember that I didn't just have surgery. I had surgery over 5 years ago and now that i'm like normal (HA!) people I will have to work very hard to lose it!

Reenie,
your weak with low energy cause you need to have some supstance. your protein can't be just from liquids not long term. we need to get that stuff from food.
trust me on this one.
not telling you what to do just telling you what i know from experience.
