wow.
Karen I understand why you must be on pins and needles. i would have assumed the same thing because of all the bloating that has been constant since my surgery.
i remember reading recently that another sign is the stomach will be hard.
many years ago i had pain around the ovaries. they sent me for a test and they could not see either of them. this was when i had just started going through the worst of the menopause stuff. there was alot of other stuff to. fortunately it was the menopause and a cyst.
keep your spirits up and focus on the positive. if it was horrible they wouldn't have let you leave but sent you right away to the hospital. thats what i always tell myself. another one no news is good news so if they do not contact you the next day then thats another good sign right?
as always you and your family are in my prayers.
please keep us posted.
god bless, pam

Karen,

You are certainly in my prayers.   It is so hard to not believe that everything we experience physically ties back to WLS.   I am praying that this is something that is correctable for you.   Please keep sharing with us as you learn more and let us support you.

It has certainly been a long three weeks since I posted here...after not being convinced that my male bariatric surgeon was not looking deeply enough into my gas problem in my abdomen, I took the next step, never really expecting to find out what is now unraveling...I went to my GYN and it doesn't look good.  I told her I was bloating and had been for some time.  She decided to check for ovarian cancer and the pelvic ultrasound came back showing a cyst, 2 masses and only one ovary identified.  I was then sent for an abdominal and a pelvic MRI this past  Friday.  I am waiting on pins and needles today for results this coming week.  How could I be so stupid?  I knew bloating was a sign of OC...I just always assumed it was a bariatric-related condition....otherwise I never would have waited.  Please pray for me, guys.  I think I'm gonna need it.

Hugs,
Karen

Hi Nic, it's always wonderful to hear from you. I am so sorry things are so tough for you and your family right now. How old is your son? Bless his heart, he must be filled with all sorts of painful and difficult thoughts and feelings right now. Best thing you can do is try to keep him busy doing things he enjoys with his family - outside! Just like for us WLS survivors, the more we put our energy into moving our bodies, the less energy we will spend on "stinking thinking" - I think OA came up with that slogan, and it's a good one. I don't know if I want to pat your husband on the back or punch him in the nose!!! How is he losing the weight so easily??? Good for him - and great for the two of you doing this together. Hang tough, Nic. Be well, Maureen

Well Hello!!! :)
It has been a long time!
WE are still here trying to hang on ya know?
In March my Dad had a stroke, not really bad but scary really scary, my son was being bullied REALLY REALLY REALLY badly at school, then April brought the first anniversary of my Mom's death, May brings Mother's Day.  So I have been in a stressed out FUNK since March.  Last week my husband found out he will be loosing his job in July!
so hanging on is all we are doing...
I took an after school program job to pay for private school for the boy.
My husband and I have decided to loose some weight. He has already lost 6 pounds...me??? maybe 1 if that...I am going to have to do protein drinks I think and soft proteins ONLY... we are walking and using our WII fit (that is TONS of fun...LOL)
the kids are ok...the boy is struggling and barely hanging on
the girl is great :)

so what is new with you???
hopefully now that the school year is ending I can be a bit more active here...I need some support...
I hope I can be of some support to you as well!

I think its the fruit.  Its very sugary especially the papaya! sooo juicy and sweet. The muscle milk doesnt have any sugar in it... the light i mean. The other only has 7 grams. in a huge one. Its one of the lower sugar protein drinks. I lost while drinking the higher calorie protein drink. When i switched to the muscle milk light which has less caloires and less sugar i plateaued... BUT i upped my fruit. So im thinking its the fruit. I'm still STUCK STUCK STUCK! its bugging me out. 'sigh' i took a water pill too... yesterday but nothing. So must not be that. lol... ah well... i'll have to wait it out I suppose and up my exercise a little more. I'm praying I start loosing again. If not I'll have to go drastic one day an ddo only liquid. I hate those days! that may kick start it back up. I hope!!! you hang in there too! I'm here with you! 25 pounds is sooo awesome! we can keep on going too! ((Hugs!!!))
