Hi Pammie, hope you don't mind that I do the math cumulatively:

Add Pam's loss of 121 to total cumulative (so far) of 456 equals

577 SO FAR!

Come on guys, let's keep this going. This is a GREAT reminder of how far we've all come!!!

Who's next, add your weight loss to 577

Great idea.

My goal is to continue to eat what my naturalist doc has imposed and get the blood sugar under control. so far so good.

whats interesting is that like a normal person when i have a busy weekend or evening and have eaten out more than normal i might have a slight gain. before i would go nuts with worry about a 3 pound gain not thinking clearly and keeping it perspective that hey i ate more. then i get right back onto my regular eating plan and the 3 pounds comes off quickly. thats what normal weight people do without stress! can you believe it???

so thats why i say i'm still holding at 179 now for 3 weeks. i'm not counting the 4 days that i was at 182. i won't lie and say i didn't get scared and nervous but i reminded myself that i ate out and got back with my food plan. it came off.

now i'm not only working on the low blood sugar control (its better not perfect but better) i'm also working on good things to do at restuarants and when i go to freinds homes for a meal. I'm also brining back up things for me in my purse in case their snacks aren't what i need. AND i'm not worrying about hurting anyones feelings if i have to go to my purse cause my health is more iimportant and if they shouldn't understand then they aren't really thinking of my health now are they? most people do understand or at least keep it to themselves! hahaha

5 years! when you thik about it keeping that weight off for 5 years is a big accomplishment! congratualations to you and like you said to us all!
sounds like the hubby doc has got it on the ball. maybe you could switch or find out what days the wifey doc takes off then scheudle your examines for then! he he
i have to agree with yvette 20 pounds is 2 months is alot now that you've got 100 off if you set the goal too high it defeats your purpose.
but maybe that was a typo?
sorry to hear your neck has been in so much pain. i wondered where you were!
take care see you on FB

Topic: NEW GOAL CHALLENGE - Any Takers?
Kim and I have decided to set a new goal for ourselves and to help each other reach them through what I'll call the BUDDY-UP SYSTEM. I would love to see others join us! All you need to do is set a reasonable, manageable goal, share it with us, and settle on a strategy that will help you get there! Who would like to join us?

Reenie's Goal:
150 by the 1st day of April (loss of 7 lbs.)

Reenie's Strategy:
Increase protein intake; eliminate processed carbs and get all carbs from fruits and veggies
Increase level of activity to at least 1/2 hour of vigorous moving 6 days a week
Eliminate candy from eating habits (unless a piece of sugar-free candy will save my sanity)

Reenie's start date:
Thursday, 3/12

I WILL POST ON WHETHER I ACHIEVED MY GOAL ON 4/1.

WHO'S NEXT??? Come on team! Maureen

I SO LOVE that you back and cheering us all on! What a great idea to add up the lbs. that we've all lost together.

3/8/04 358
3/11/09   157 = 201 lbs. lost

Add to your 123 lbs. lost =

324 lbs. lost (for Yvette and Reenie!)

Who's next???

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE HERE. THE PAINS. THESE PAINS KILLS ME. THERE'S A SPRAY CALL STOP PAIN IT'S VERY USEFUL FOR ME TRY IT. I'M ON CYMBALTA . BCOS I'M IN DEPRESSION + PAINS . YESTERDAY I HAD A TALK WITH MY PSIQ. HE TOLD ME TO GO BACK TO MORE OR MUST TAKE MORE AND MORE PROTEINS THAT I CAN TAKE A DAY. I WANT TO LOOSE 20 OR 25 MORE POUNDS. LETS TAKE ONE DAY AT THE TIME. AND SEE HOW WE CAN MANAGE IT. I THINK 20 POUNDS FOR 2 MONTHS IS TO FAST FOR NOW, DON'T YOU THINK SO? THIS WILL PUT YOU ANSIOUS. TRY AT LEAST 1 POUND PER WEEK AND LET'S SEE HOW IT WORK. LET'S KEEP UP WORKING ,HELPING EACH OTHER GIVING US SUPPORT AND SEE WHART COMES OUT FOR US.

Yvette
