I just weighed myself, I'm 154 - down 6 lbs. since I started this on Monday. I'm gonna play Scarlett O'Hara right now (picture the scene where she's shaking her fist at the heavens...) "As God is my witness, I will NEVER see 160 again!" (she says, "I will never go hungry again" - isn't that ironic???)
Let's keep going, Buddies - even if - especially if - you're having a hard time, POST! The true success in this exercise is TRYING and not giving up.
When the craving**** me, I say to myself, "I want THIS (feeling in control of my food rather than food controlling me, feeling stronger and fitter because I'm exercising), not THAT (feeling out of control of my food intake, feeling lazy and sluggish and sad and disoriented in the head because of the sugar). Say it to yourself: I WANT THIS (whatever your 'this' is) not THAT (whatever your 'that' is)

My menu for the day:

Special K and 1% Milk

3 oz Tuna and 2 oz carrots

15 Almonds

1/2 container of Sugar Free Yogurt

1 cup of Homemade Beff and Veg soup

Oatmeal raisin Atkins Bar

62 oz of plain and flavored water

Eating the mini meals really helps.

God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good. Today is very imporant, because I'm exchaning a day of my life for it.

Yeah, we're doing this!!! I'm into day 3 today, yesterday went very well - what a difference I feel already - NO M&M'S FOR TWO DAYS NOW!!! I have discovered, however, in picking up my workout again that my knee is not in good shape (the one that was shredded 2 years ago); so I have an appt. with the ortho surgeon next week, please pray for NO SURGERY! What I ate yesterday:
B - LF cheese stick w/ clementine (gosh, they're good, much tastier than M&Ms!)
S - celery w/ 1T peanut butter
L - small chef salad
S - Zone bar
D - my handy-dandy protein shake
Before bed - 1 cup steaming, delicious caffeine-free Green Tea with all those great antioxidants

It feels REALLY GOOD to be taking care of myself after so long of not doing so. My immediate goal is to simply get back in the 140s; and to increase my level of fitness and strength, to feel that surging through my body again. I want it BAD.

Connie, is it a professional production of The Lion King? You will be blown away by this musical - have a great time, wish I was going with you? Kim, how was Sophisticated Ladies???

Keep going, Buddies!!! We can do this!!!

I'm going to post early because we're going to see the Lion King tonight and I won't be home until late.

Breakfast -
1 egg
packet of grits
1 ounce of low fat sausage
1/2 ounce shredded cheese

Lunch -
Chicken Fajita Pita with 1/2 if the pita

Total calories so far are 600

We're going to Applebee's for dinner so I can order off of the smaller portion or Weigh****cher's menu.  No idea what I'll order.

Did the bike and was tortured at Physical Therapy this morning.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELIZABETH!   Hey everyone, Elizabeth is an OLD LADY (as of yesterday) - she's 35!!!   Ah, let's see if I can remember what life was like when I was 35... my kids were younguns and I was SOOOOOO FAT ... I had that hair-growing disease, you know when a woman grows all kinds of facial hair because of her obesity, what's that called????  Thank God that's in the past (after a year of electrolosis!). Okay, too much information - but good to remember how bad life was and how far we've come!!!! Good girl for your eating today - now just try to relax, commit to it, and try not to stray... and take a walk if you can! Big birthday hugs to you - Maureen

yay!!!! way to go

I have NOT stepped on the scale myself. Won't do it for awhile.

So today I have had:
Vitamins and iron

Breakfast:
2 small lowfat turkey patties
decaf coffe with milk and splenda

Lunch:
Chilli with a couple crackers crumbled in it.
decaf coffee with milk and splenda

Snack:
South Beach Living High Protein Cereal Bar (Cinamon Raisin)

Dinner:
Don't know. Protein shake and not much else I dont think. Haven't been very hungry at night lately. It's usually opposit for me. I think I'm going to have the protein shake that you make Reenie. With the ice...but I'm going to use a banana. Which is a little bit more sugar but I LOVE bananna shakes with splenda and a little vanilla. Blend it all up in my big noisy blender. haha... gotta get that magic bullet! OH! thats what I could've told my hubby to get me!!! ah well. darnit. lol...

I definitely remember when that use to happen all the time! I miss those days!!!  i do have it happen once in awhile. Its WEIRD. One day I could eat a steak no problem, the next it would get stuck. It definitely makes no rhyme or reason when it decides to actually work. As far as dumping for me...i dont dump on much unless i really over do it on the sugar. The one thing I absolutely DO dump on no matter if there is sugar in it or not is dry creal with milk. That mush ALWAYS makes me dump. its that slushy combo that does it to me. Pain, nausea heart slamming in the chest, can't breathe have to lay down then SLEEP for an hour. LOL!!!!  Ah the memories!!! haha.... Wi**** was for everything though!!!  Glad your feeling better
