Hi Joy!

So nice to see you. I'm sorry about your furbaby. ((hugs)). I agree with everything you said and ditto and we love you too!  Its always best to count our blessings when we are down and out. Because no matter what, things can always be worse. I try to thank God especially on those down days and pray for help.

"When you are down to nothing, God is up to Something, I just wish I knew what is was!"

Love that quote.

((hugs!!))

fitday.com is the best place in the world for keeping log of your food and its free... it calculates not only the calories but also the entire nutritional value then a chart of carbs vs protein vs fat etc... it keeps log of everything. it really is an absolutely unbeatable site for logging food.

I didn't do good this morning. For some reason I was soooooooooooo hungry!!!! im never really that hungry in the morning. but anyway... i'll confess...

2 slc bacon; 2 eggs w/2 sl cheese and 1 sausage link (small) mixed in with the scrambled egg. and decaff with milk and splenda.

OMG it was sooooooooo good! LOL! but then again i was ready to chew my arm off for some strange reason. probably because I caved last night and had 2 pieces of chocolate very late and a little cake earlier that night. (It was my moms birthday.) I bought her a cake and two pink and yellow flowers in pots and a big thing of chocolates and a balloon. I walked in the door to her house (Shes watching Katelyn who just turned 19mos on monday) and I thought the little girl was going to explode with excitement over the balloon. She started screaming and running towards the balloon and her eyes were as big as saucers and she reached up and her whole body clenched and shook she was so excited about the balloon. We were laughing our butts off. LOL!  anywho... nast night all in all because I also had 2 rasberry filled cookies. 'sigh' it was an occassion. but i'm SURE thats why i was soooo hungry this morning.

Back to the drawing board!!! ;-)

Lunch... hmmm..... most likely soup. or maybe a veggie stir fry. Not quite sure yet.

((hugs))

you know... I gotta say that i HATE typing after they updated these boards... i freeze and get thrown out and get messgaes popping up asking if i want to navigate away from the page when I'm in the middle of typing! then It locks up and takes FOREVER to let me put my cursor back in the body of the message. im a fast typer so maybe thats why???? is anyone else experiencing this???

Elizabeth, again check out Walmart for better pricing on the liquid vitamin - I buy my B-Complex in liquid (dropper) form and it's tons cheaper than what you'll find at places like GNC. I don't know if they sell liquid multivitamins, though. I can't wait to hear that your iron level is up! Maureen

Hi 'lizbet! Ok, here's exactly how I make the shake, in the order that I mix the stuff up - but I think what really makes the shake thick is the Magic Bullet - it's fantastic!:
1. start with about 5-6 full ice cubes in a Magic Bullet plastic glass
2. next add the yogurt of your choice (I've even used plain yogurt and its yummy with the fruit)
3. next add the berries of your choice (I've used blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries - doesn't matter, it comes out great whatever you use) - if strawberries, I add 3-4 large ones; if the smaller berries, I add a small handful
4. next add the protein power - I use the stuff from Walmart - inexpensive, very tasty, chockfull of protein and very low on carbs and sugar - I use the chocolate (would you expect me to use anything else???)
5. next add 1 tsp. of off-brand SF Metamucil (keeps the engine moving!) Again, I get this at Walmart
6. final step - fill the rest of the cup up with ice cold water (not all the way to the top but almost)

Screw the mixer cap (with blades) on and throw it on the Magic Bullet - in about 30 seconds, I have a very thick (like freshly melting ice cream) protein shake! Very, very filling and satisfying.

About 210 calories, all total. By the way, I use the decaffinated Green Tea! But I think what helps me most with night snacking is that I'm at the barn at least 3 nights a week working Laela hard and by the time I get home (usually around 8pm) I don't want to eat - first, my body feels good from workin' those muscles and somewhere in my head I must be thinking, "I want THIS (feeling fit and strong) not THAT (feeling gross from eating crap food).

Sorry to be son longwinded. Love you! Maureen

OH! I am sooo glad you found something that works and you know what... patches should be more prevalent, I mean it has to be a heck of a lot better not having that heavy stuff on the stomach. A vitamin patch!!!! I keep wondering how much this chewable Im taking is helping. I am getting the b12 shots and taking my vitamin d and my iron pill... i am almost positive that I am not absorbing ANY of this iron. I had those darned pica cravings (craving the scent of chemicals) soooo bad yesterday i had anxiety in my chest all day and the main cause I keep hearing is low iron. which i am very anemic right now. i think im going to just get the liquid vitamins. They are so expensive though...but im in a rough spot right now. Im FINALLY down to one b-12 shot a month. I was starting to feel like a pin cushion!

Maureen,

How do you make your protein shake... I mean I know you have the blueberries... Yum by the way and the light and fit yogurt... but what do you make your shake with? Water or Milk? You said it was so thick you can eat it with a spoon... thats how I want mine to be.   how much yogurt etc... i'll be using the carb control yogurt which is a little thicker. Has anyone ever tried alba??? oh my gosh I had this sugar free alba and it was chocolate and it was sooo thick it was like pudding and so yummy. its not a protein shake though. lol... but you can add protein of course. I'm starting to get addicted to the sugar free chocolate jello,.... but my husband gobbles it all up! lol! i have to get a whole bunch. maybe mixing some of that in as well... oh that would be yummy!!!!    and i get snacky at night time. and i can't do any green tea or any caffeinated beverages. it sucks because when ever i use to drink anything with caffein i didnt want to eat that much. Maybe if you had some green tea when you get home Connie around that snack time it would help curb the snack cravings??  its my hardest time.
