Lori I haven't had my surgery yet- so not sure about amount of weight loss- but 26 lbs in a month sounds awesome to me!!! My question is-- what shake do you use that tastes like a chocolate milk shake?? Thanks Jackie

I cannot believe the weight loss thus far.. I am so blessed to have lost this much and look forward to losing even more. Pants I wore the day before surgery are now boxed for someone else who can use them during their journey and flying through clothes I have not worn in years. I am so excited.. What a journey it is!!!

I have had the EXACT thing you are describing and in fact went and had a cat scan. The Dr. said nothing was wrong...sometimes your new pouch gets inflamed and hurts even up to a few months after surgery. That is what they told me. They said to drink something hot (just as you are doing) and also to eat some ice chips or popsicles because it helps. I think it was a combination for gas and this for me. It went away after about two to three days. If it gets worse though and is sharp and jabbing I would just call your surgeon's office. They will tell you if they want you to come in or not!! Rita

Hi Georgeanne, It is probably gas. My nutritionist told us not to use the Viactive or any form of calcium carbonate because of the gas issues. I actually use Citracal Creamy Bites. It is calcium citrate. It also is absorbed better than the calcium carbonate. Walking and sipping fluids will help with gas. If it continues you may want to give your Dr. a call just to make sure. take it from a serial weigher--stay off the scale everyday--you will lose you mind! also you have to remember that your body has gone through major surgery and needs some time to adjust to the changes. I doubt being on soft foods has slowed the weightloss down--follow your doctor's program and you will be fine! you are doing a great job! mj
